Sorry guys there is no way Johnson Central's field is one of the best when the game has to be stopped every time the sun sets. It almost forces each team to use two pitchers, as it would be very hard for a starting pitcher to take at least a 45 minute break and come back to finish the game. The new field at Belphy should be great.

I agree. Pikeville will be on top at least at the begining of the season. I think Paintsville will be better than expected. Allen Central should have a great season with the returning talent they have. Johnson central, Sheldon Clark and lawrence county will also be good.

With two leagues where is everyone going to play? Are there plans to build more fields?

Stone Crest is the new golf course on top of the hill at Jenny Wiley park. They have built several new fields there. I heard that Johnson Co. was starting a Cal Ripken league but I wonder where they will play.

1. Pikeville-#1 untill someone proves otherwise, coaching, feeder program. 2. Paintsville-feeder program, A lot of young talent. 3. Johnson Central-feeder program, coaching. 4. Lawrence County-coaching, 5. Allen Central-Would be higher if they had their own field. 6. Sheldon Clark-coaching 7. Besty Layne-They share allen park with Allen Central. It's hard to improve when you don't have your own field. 8. Prestonsburg-a football school which happens to have a baseball team. 9. Pike central-They looked good at times last year. 10.Belphy-At least they will have a field in 06.

I would just like to know if anyone has any thoughts about the little league program in floyd co. With the new fields at Stone Crest would a county wide league work better than the three leagues we have now?

Stapleton is a very solid player, but the players from schools with better programs will be noticed more than a player from Betsy Layne. Stapleton along with several other players from what I would call non baseball schools simply cannot succeed like someone in a well coached and well run baseball program.
