You Russell fans keep on with that NO RESPECT for Mercer attitude. Heres the thing, last nite they played Morgan County, a very good team, that ran the option attack very well. If you have played football and have knowledge of it in any capacity, one will know that playing someone that runs the option, wing-t, etc...then it usually takes a quarter or so to adjust to it. Thats exactly what happened, Mercer put the clamps down after halftime and thats what Coach Jaggers does, he is great at making adjustments. Another fact, Mercer County lines up in the wishbone and comes right at you, nothing fancy..If any of you know anything about the wishbone offense, then you will know that it can be an EQUALIZER if ran efficiently to the least, if you run it like Mercer has ran it at times this year, then it can be a complete DEMORALIZER, it wears on you, it beats the other team up after a while, just ask Morgan County. 2 yards here, 8 here, -2 here, 3 here, then boom 20+yds. Thats pretty much how it has worked for Mercer this year. Whatever the outcome of the game, it's not gonna be a blow out for either team and if you Russell fans think you are gonna be in for an easy nitet...then,well, just keep thinking that. Im not picking a score or a winner. I just know it's going to be a good high school football game for sure. Lets Go MERCER!!!

Mercer had a couple key players out too. Their best overall player, Scheller has been out for about 4 weeks, due to an ACL tear. They may get their starting fullback/def.End back next week. Missed the game tonite b/c of a dislocated shoulder. But, at this time of the year, injuries, for any team cant be used for excuses. Unfortunately, this late in the season, players have gotten beaten and banged up. Morgan Co. was hampered with injuries, so was Mercer. They were both dealt the same deck of cards in that aspect. From everything Ive heard, and the picture of him on the home page of BGpreps right now, Id have to say Micah Johnson. Now, going off of who Ive actually seee, then, that has to go to Will Fidler of Henderson, the kid is legit. Has a great arm, and most of all i was impressed with his overall athleticism, he can move and has some 'shiftyness' about'im.

Will Fidler-Henderson County. The kid throws a great ball, and is mobile too! He'll find somethin in every play that the defense lines up in and will see somethin that will be open, and most of the time it is..or if its not, he'll throw a dart and make it something. UK's got somethin good in this kid commin.

Terry from Noth Hardin is just a junior, i believe, but a definite, undoubtedly a D-1. I said something of Joe Hall from Central Hardin in another thread, but that kid is legit D-1. UK, UL, etc should take a chance on him. Whoever takes a chance on him will be getting a steal, no question. Also the RB from Caldwell County, cant remember the name, i apologize.
