  1. Prp has a solid team and had a great game plan for North Hardin. First of all PRP had a total of 337 yds of total offense. 251 rushing, 86 pass. Far from 350yd RUSHing.

PRP will struggle without their QB. North Hardin should have won that game. The defensive unit had a let down on one series that cost them the game.

PRP did make alot of errors in the red zone and two personal fouls didn't help either.

    Humm:confused:

  2. PRP made many mistakes again in the red zone in this game. PRP rushed for around 350 yds in this game but continues to make red zone mistakes.

PRP also lost their QB in this game to a separated shoulder (out 3 wks). The scored their last TD with their backup in the game. This could mean trouble for the Panthers down the road.

  3. Captn...I thought you had been scalped by Indians or Mexican Bandits. PRP def has the talent to play with any of the big 3. If a few breaks go their way they could make a run...but the one limit IMO to this team is the LACK of SR play. PRP only has 11 SR's on the roster with only 4 contributing on either side of the ball. So even though I think they are one of the best 4 teams in 4A I believe next year is the Panthers year.

"It aint dyin I'm talkin bout Call, IT'S LIVIN!"

  4. PRP is a good team but after watching them last night Madison Central is better than them. Dunbar gift wrapped last night with crazy turnovers. With as much speed as they have and could only manage 160+ yards offense was not a good sign for them. If PRP is as good as Male and St. X then Louisville is way down.

I was at the game and couldnt disagree more. PRP was up 10-0 and in all reality should (I know shouldve couldve wouldve) have been up 21-0 in the 1st quarter. They had one touchdown called back (one ref called a td other over turned it saying receiver was bobbling ball. And got in the inside the 20 two more times and missed field goals. I think PLD was fortunate to still be in the game after the 1st, considering they didnt even make it past their own 30 the 1st quarter. PLD also had basically 0 offense the whole game with the exception of the 1 run by the QB. The other TD came off a PRP fumble inside their own 10. I am not making excuses for PRP but they played very SLOPPY last night and were not in sink all night (could have been because Smith not playing and QB not practicing). The score was 29-14 but could have just as easy been 40+ -7. Just one mans opinion.

  5. Unless it rains a lot more today, the fields around here are in good shape. Should be a "fast" track for those speedsters and that spells trouble for PLD!

We all know that a player that has missed practice this week can still play if he is at school on friday, if needed, do not be surprised to see those players who are in question.

QB maybe...but Smith is out of state.

  6. I saw the Dunbar-MBA game and also saw LexCath scrimmage PRP. PRP has a better passing attack, but I can't see them pounding it up the middle successfuly against the excellent PLD D-line. I also can't see PLD scoring more then a couple Tds against PRP. It should be a competitive game and close enough to give the home team the edge.

Dont believe PRP runs a "pounding it up the middle" offense.

  7. I like Wolfe, I like his scheme, and I like PRP's speed. But I don't know that you can say that they made a big impact in the district last year. They didn't really have a good, complete game agaisnt the other three district title contenders last year (Good first half against X, but shut out in the second half; tough rally against Male in the second after a pretty bad first half; and a more even but losing effort to Manual with a 28-14 halftime deficit and a 42-28 final.)

I think that, contrary to the buzz last year, THIS is the year PRP has a chance to make noise in the district. But I don't think it's as assured as some others, because the Panthers still have some proving to do in my book.

Compared to the previous few years...last year was an impact. But I think PRP will be really good this year but next year they will be even better with all of this years JR's being SR's and in his system for 3 years.

  8. People always say that PRP is good, and they are but it seems every year they do not do well in the playoffs. I think they will fall again to Male and X.

That being said the running game seems to be stacked this year so maybe this is the year they shock Male and X. But I don't think so.

Traditionally I agree...but they are under new leadership now...Coach Wolfe is a heck of a Coach and made quite an impact in the district last year...Which is WITHOUT A DOUBT the toughest in the state. PRP started a ton of sophs last year, so with another year under Wolfe I expect them to be even better.

  9. I wouldn't just write off Dunbar. They still have a very good coaching staff and they will find a way to make this a game. In both of thier losses, the score doesn't really indicate how the game went.

Against MBA, Dunbar is down 14-7 in the 4th quarter and fumbles a punt return. Special teams hurt the Bulldogs in this one, MBA also returned a punt.

Against Madison Central, Dunbar is down 14-7 when MC busts open an 80 yard run on 3rd and 2. 3 fumbles killed Dunbar in this game. They moved the ball downfield well but coughed it up a bunch.

Dunbar should be well prepared for playing PRP. They have played solid against two teams (MBA and Madison Central) that have vastly different styles of play. I doubt that PRP's lineman are as good as MBA's and that PRP's skill players are as good as MC's. I am not trying to knock PRP at all, I just think that they are going to have a much tougher game then many think.

Have you had a chance to check out PRP's talent...The are stacked...and FAST!!!

  10. It (the tuition) is overrated like them...

Obviously you have never talked to anyone from another team that has played them. They also teach false doctrines on other religions at their school. Can't respect that!

It just will never happen... They will have good seasons off and on, but will never be a Powerhouse.

And what would the "false doctrines" you speak of be?

  11. LCA probably needs to fold with Rains. He really wasted last years talent, and the new offense he's trying to install doesn't fit his coaching style either. In order to become a passing team, you'll need SPEED, and a kid who can wing it. They'll have to put more emphasis into their athletic programs to get over the hump. Rains has somewhat tarnished his image by comments made about former players. He should've been better than that because word has spread and the parents of some kids here in lexington have reconsidered sending their kids to LCA and instead considered Catholic. People also watch games, and last year, he had a WR that was in the state's preseason top 50 and didn't try and get him at least 10 touches a game. Tyrell was great, but he would've been even better if the ball was spread around to some of those good skilled players that helped LCA's turnaround before Hayden's arrival. I bet you can understand that one real well Bluto.

 Fold??? So he took a team that had one like 2 games in 3 years to a 10-2 record (Regional Final and win over Beachwood) in 3 years...and you say they should get rid of him. Are you kidding me? What killed LCA last year against NCC was depth...not spreading the ball around. As a matter of fact LCA was pretty evenly split on the run-pass last year. I assume you probably didnt watch any GAME FILM last year...but that "WR" was double covered quite a bit. This post blows my mind.

  12. Attended the game...was not impressed with either team. Both offenses (IMO) were anemic. PLD runs a ton of sets but seems to basically run the same thing out of each. MBA looked short on athletes to me. But then again...those are just my opinions. However, I did think the quote Coach Hensley had in the paper this morning was interesting...said he told his kids that this was the best team they would play this year...hum.
