I was with Cook from the beginning. But, I think he blew it last night. He had a chance to shine and sang a couple songs that people are familiar with. By far, his best performance was "Billie Jean" and he did not choose it last night. I liked the fact that he could rearrange a pop song into a rock song. That shows what kind of talent and skill he has. He got away from that and it will probably cost him.
I also think that as a singer, Archuletta is better. Just not as musically talented. But I just dont likethe way he looks when he sings or the old ballads he prefers.
Still hoping for Cook to pull it out though.
I dont care if people say it is a singing or a talent competition. Singing is a talent. If it wasn't a talent, then I should be on stage raking in the dough.

My daughter was watching The Disney Channel when they played a video by a band that they created for a tv show. The band was "The Naked Brothers Band". I am not too fond of the name by the way. Anyway, the song was titled, "I Don't Want To Go To School".
What kind of message is Disney sending to our kids?
I must say, I thought this was not appropriate for a kids television program.

Does anybody know where former coach Paul Gray is at?

The first thing for Deaton to address is the "heart". Last years team and many of the previous teams had good talent, but put them in a situation that they have to dig deep and they give up. The chance to beat Beechwood last year, twice, should have been insentive enough to take there game to the next level. I dont want to hear about the one drive, the fan base seemed to cherish this past year, just look at the game, fell apart after they were scored on by Elliot.
Come on Deaton, your gonna have a young team. Teach them what counts, pride.
Don't pick on Dayton for losing to Beechwood. They were a solid class "A" team, but still not in the same tier as Beechwood. They beat much larger schools in Scott and Holmes (in the final minute). Beat a good Lynn Camp team and won the first "Battle for the Paddle" against Bellevue. They can have all the heart in the world and it still would not have made a difference. Sorry.

What method do they use to euthanize?

Beat Ludlow last year:dancingpa
Anyway back on topic I do wish Randy well. It will be an uphill fight for him to produce a winning program at Cooper. The administration did him no favor by jumping right into varsity play. With the new round of realignment coming soon why not wait till then?
And lost to Dayton. :dancingpa
I agree that it will be rough starting out at Cooper. That is the beauty of the whole thing, expectations will not be that high starting out. He has time to grow with the program.

That's about how hard I was laughing when he turned down Scott for a 1A school.
Bigger does not mean Better. What has Scott ever done that has been better than any single A school?

There has been some confusion on whcih Hensley is being mentioned. Steve Hensley previously coached at Ludlow (I beleive), lives in NKY and is currently teaching/coaching at Taylor High in OH.
I would not beleive that Dave Hensley from Dunbar would be interested in Ludlow.
Apparently, it has just been announced that Hensley from Dumbar just resigned. So maybe there is some truth to this.

Yo sure can have only one leave the island and they both live.
Remember, Desmond left the island (in the future) ran into that professor guy (the name escapes me) only to tell him the code to run the time machine. He was able to change the past by going into the future.
Think about Marty and Dr. Brown in "Back to the Future".

I pretty sure that Jacobs is a card dealer at one of the casino boats.

Wasn't there a lot of grumbling going on last year at Scott with the pay to play fee? I beleive I heard that parents were really upset (as usual) about the whole football situation.
Could this have anything to do with the decision?

Is this the same Coach Baldridge that was at Bellevue in the mid-70's?

To all Bellevue Players,
Play your hearts hearts out, Bellevue. You know it is going to be tough, but you have to believe you can win. The name on the front of the jersey does not play the game. They are 16-18 year old kids, just like you. You know, I will be there rooting you on!!!!

I would hope that Boone County would make a solid effort to play at Owensboro in either 2009 or 2010 (with no more trips to Florence for the Red Devils in between), just as a way to make up the cancellation.
Thats fair enough.

Exactly. I've seen the KHSAA letter to Conner. Not sure who Conner will drop.
Exactly. Most of the other NKY 6A schools are in the same boat. Since alignment forced all teams to rearrange their schedules this current year, and since most contracts are home/away, they probably all have to drop one game.

I admit, I am not familiar with BCPWF and Ft. Thomas league, but as far as the CCYFL is concerned, prefer my son to play for NKYFL Red Devils because of the quality of coaches. Not saying they are better than the other leagues, just saying I know my son is getting quality coaching. The playing time and experience will take care of itself at the high school level.

KHSAA will allow Boone to drop without penalty due to the addition of the Cooper game.
There will be no penalty. Having to drop a team is not Boone's choice. Cooper notified the KHSAA of their intent to play varsity next year forcing Boone to drop a game. KHSAA will not enforce a penalty.

How about trying to find out how the KHSAA works?
Now that would be a project!!!

Is there any chance it is Coach Yeagle?
I have heard his name come up a few times.
Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on ME!!!
