I have seen some kids so far this season that appear to be in the 7th or maybe 8th grade on two public school teams. These kids may be good recreation players, but had no business being on a high school field.

St.X wins the first game 4-1. Game 2 in progress with St.X up 6-0 in the 6th.

I am sure Ox can answer that question.

St.X will probably be forced to move DJ Hall to LB. At 6'0" 200 he could easily make the transition. It will be a tough decision for Coach Glaser.

DJ Hall from St.Xavier attended the Michigan Junior day yesterday, and was also invited to the Michigan Senior Elite camp this summer. Louisville, Indiana, Purdue, Marshall, BC and numerous other schools are in the mix.

Enjoy it while it lasts.

St.X will have a huge turnout. Incoming freshman class might be the best in over a decade.

Are you talking about Tim Phillips from Trinity? When this kids career is over at Trinity he will go down as one of the best running backs in school history. Tim Phillips will play D1.

You have 5 sophomores on this team who could start for just about any varsity team in the state of Kentucky. Loehnert, Hayden, Bickel, Beach and Hall. St. X normally will dress some sophomores but they usually don't see much time at the varsity level due to the depth of the program. Beach will probably start, the other kids mentioned should see considerable time especially late in games. Is Luke Brohm staying at QB? Thats another sophomore we can't forget about.

Some jet sweeps would be nice. Three back formations with Finch, Neal and Beach would be a real nightmare for oppossing teams. Speed wise, this might be one of the quickest offenses X has had in quite some time. J.Hayden, Wilkerson, Sweeney, Botner and the Hall brothers could really take some pressure off the running game from the wr position. I like our chances in 2008.

I start this thread by saying I have complete confidence in the play calling. With a deep stable of backs, what plays or formations would make this offense more diverse without changing the foundation that has made the program one of the best in the country.
