No offense BUT this AP all-state has lost alot of credit in my book!! How in the world a player like Kasey Clark doen't make it is beyond me! 40 TD's and has scored EVERYWAY POSSIBLE!! UNBELIEVABLE!! Thanks, Frances for your wise acknowlegement. Not taking away from others but he has more #'s than those who made these teams. I'd agree with this statement. I'm sure that Coach McGlone will let him sit and hoist the trophy in post game pictures! Seriously though you are right the game could be decided with a fresher offense going against a very tired defense!

I'm sure he will however I'd love to see 8-9 minute drives that end in TD's!!! :fire: I think the best defense is to keep their Offense OFF THE FIELD!!!! :flame:

He's used to it he's has played every play the past 2 weeks. Amongst about 8 other Devils that play every play including kick-off coverage and return!! Fatigue could be an issue but most of these kids have done this all year and been sucessful doing so. At times I think it has helped them gain momentum, and created a little bit of mental toughness!

He could be a big factor for Russell in this game both offensively and defensively!! He has had a very good season on defense. He gets alot more credit obviously for being the QB.

Hoover H.S. is serious!!1 I saw them early this season on ESPN! Wow his system must take alot of athletes to run it. Are OCath rrecievers athletic and big like Hoovers? :eek:

jman69, Thanks for the info. It will be an interesting game with a BIG contrast of styles!! In what other states has his offense been used to win the Championship? How many schools does he consult with?

Kasey Clark- Russell 40 TD's 6 recieving 3 kick returns 2 fumble recovery 1 interception return 28 rushing over 1400 rushing yards on 186 carries! There is your Pontiac Game Changer 13-1 record this year with the state title game upcoming!

If and I said IF OCath could win a state championship I wonder how that may affect his financial situation with selling his system to other schools. OCath would be his so called 1st state champion using his "stuff"! His being on the sideline as a friend I'm sure is probably also a good business decision as well! And by the way I have no objection to him being there ,I think it is smart on his part to show how close he is to the teams that pay his bills. I also heard that the material is also available on the web? I don't know if that is true or not? I know that he has been to Raceland which uses his system as well!

Well, I may be thinned skinned alittle bit and I can handle that, but remember that THE POND CREEK NATION of Belfry did a whole lot of talking last week about they were 2 TD's better than Russell and now they are sitting at the house. Russell has had a way of :sssh: some the the nay sayers this season. Be careful because they will be at the big :dancingpa in Da'Ville and they just may believe that they CAN WIN!!!!!!!! :ylsuper:

Well, I guess I should save my money and wear and tear on the truck. Russell is not strong enough, fast enough, smart enough, and just flat out doesn't have the endurance to compete with OCath! Some of these post are ludicrous!! Your talking about a very good football team that beat 10-1 Mercer Co.,11-1 Newport @ Newport, and the 2 time defending State Champions Belfry who hadn't lost to a 2A school in 3 seasons. Basing Team speed on track programs I'd say Russell is pretty quick they have finished first in some meets. And their endurance in girls cross country is awesome one of the best girls cc programs in the state. That should help them out on Saturday! I also think their test scores were pretty high last year too!! Please give them some respect, as a TEAM THAT HAS AN EXCELLENT CHANCE TO WIN THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!!! I guarantee you they will show up and play extremely hard and leave it all on the field as well! I'm sure OCath will do the same. I think this has all the makings of a great game. However, remember that the game will be played on the field between two excellent football teams,and not on threads posted by fans who wish nothing more than their team to win for personal reasons of family, friends, or alma mater!!! The teams and players will decide who wins and not the track programs of Ft. Campbell, or the endurance of the Russell CC team!! ON THE FIELD SATURDAY AT 3:30!!!! :fight: :madman:

I have no idea how this game is going to turn out. OCath runs the same type of offense from Tony Franklin that a local team that is five minutes from Russell runs.(Raceland Rams) they have been very successful running this offense in Class A. They also have an excellent QB and WR that happen to be very good friends of some of the Russell players. I know that they are very good at managing down and distance,and they control ball. They can strike big plays at anytime. This is much how I view OCath to be. Russell likes to run, run,and run some more. It is important for them to control the ball with long methodical drives that last up to 7-8 minutes and punch it in for TD's. I going out on a big limb and say the team that controls time of possesion wins. This is just a hunch though because I'm just a fan of football. I'm going to watch a great game between the Champs of the East Russell and the Champs of the West OCath. BTW GO DEVILS!!!!!!! :fire:

:thumb: Thanks Hopefully the Big Trophy stays in the East. And I do believe to win it ALL you have to have some luck somewhere down the line. Luckily Russell has come up with some plays to get to the Title game. I'll give both teams credit for a great game, and Russell just simply made a few more big plays that helped their chances to advance. Anyway it was an awesome game to sit well in my case STAND and watch

Quick thought if Russell played the whole game like they played the first half they'd beaten Belfry by 40, 40, 40!!! Pirates2005, your team showed the heart of a champion but give the DEVILS their due!! They were the best team last night and they made the plays to show that they were. :fire:

iPapi, Not this season. Belfry has a good program and they are ALWAYS a force in 2A. They could get another title in the future, just not in 2005! :devil:

Michale Horn, I personally have enjoyed watching your career! I' m very sorry! I also want you to know that your team would NOT be playing for the STATE TITLE without your efforts on and off the field. I appreciate your abilities on the field, and I respect the character that you represent off the field. You are a tremendous young man! A leader by example, and a great role model for the younger kids who look up to the guys on the team. :thumb:

Congratulations is in order for eveyone. It was nice to see Clark's INT to seal the deal. He has made huge plays all year! It was one of the only good breaks Russell got all night. Belfry had several fumbles that resulted in big losses, if the Devils pounce on one of those the MO in the 2nd half could have easily gone back the other way. Clark caused a fumble for a 6 yard loss right before the big pass play that set up Belfry's second score. My household is still fired up about a trip to the CARPET!!!! Russell D SUPER JOB!! A Belfry fan told me that they had not been shut-out in any half this season. Anyway great win enjoy it tonight and start thinking of O-Catholic. Remember you still have 1 more WIN!!!!!
