I was at the first game of both nights. The gym was about half full both nights. I just thought the teams would have enjoyed playing in front of a full gym. More of a Region atmosphere. They wouldn,t have lost any money because there were probably not many that payed to get in again. And would have made more money at the concession.

Yea I guess if you live in Clay County there,s not that much traffic. Do you really think that if the sessions weren't split that some people wouldn't get to see the game. I don't think so. The reserved sittting has not been have full. It may have been at the Clay game but that would have been the only one.

I've been to the last several 13th regional tournaments and I have seen alot of different things this time. 1st time I have had to sit in traffic 15 to 20 minutes, 1st time I have seen the gym cleared out in the first round, and if 13th region coaches didn't get passes that is pretty bad. The corbin radio guys said before the game last night that they were in the worst position they have been in at a region tournament. They also said that this was the smallest group of fans they had seen at a region in a long time. Something is wrong.

I think Harlan will have a chance to do something in this district if John Smith has a 100% recovery.

I agree, I've seen North play 4 or 5 times and that seems to be their weaknest is turnovers.

I agree. The 13th has been weak for the past several years. And if you just play each other it will tell at tourney time.

Bell South Cawood Clay

I agree with Strange, but Cumberland wouldn't have won more than 4or5 games without kids coming in from other places. Scott would have probably done just as well or better.

Same here I thought Corbin responded well when Harlan played physical, and yes both played rough but not dirty. The way refs let kill each other and then call a picky foul is what kills me. I think Corbin has improved over the year and has gotten better. I look for them to play well through the tournament. Good luck to the Redhounds next week.

4chs, I am a Harlan fan and attended the game the block by French was clean and the whistle blew before the block had been made. In our home newspaper a foul they called on Clem shows that he has all ball. The refs were bad both ways and let play get very physical.

I think Bell should be #2. They beat Clay and Clay beat North. Who has North beat?

I was at this game. Pineville has a good team. But you have to remember Harlan plays good defence. I may be wrong but I don't believe Harlan shot a free throw the second half. Without Smith Harlan played a good game. But Pineville can shoot the ball well. Congrads to Pineville. They are having a good season. Glad to see this because I like their coach.

If Bell beats Cumberland Tuesday it will look like this 1 Bell County Bye Middlesboro Cumberland 2 Cawood Bye 3 Harlan 6 Evarts If Cumberland beats Bell. Cumberland and Harlan have the same record. Not sure on how they handle that. Coin/Points not sure. Maybe HDE can help.

I have seen Miller play around 5 games this year. I have seen him hit some very difficult shots. In my opinion I think he is better than Vance or Mills. People always want to give him down the road about playing defense. When Middlesboro played at Harlan he made it difficult for Smith to score from Harlan when they were matched up one on one. I am not sure he will get an offer for his school to be payed for, but why pass up on a PURE shooter. Look at Lofton not a lot of big teams really wanted him and look what he has done at the next level. Kentucky could sure use a shooter.

I can't see Cumberland over Harlan a very good win. Harlan is 2-10 since smiths injury.

When did South start playing their best ball last year? South by 15 to 20

Was at this game. Pineville had their way inside. Day probably had 40 or more. Midddlesboro probably shot 40 3's. One shot each time down the floor and Pineville had the ball back. Pineville has a nice team,can play with the rest of the 13th besides South.

I agree with you. The 13th is a weak region at this point if you take out South. And from what I've seen I don't see it getting strong anytime soon.

This was a good game. Free throws was the differents. Cawood made theirs and Harlan missed alot.

You would have to put John Smith and the Curtis kid from Harlan in with the Juniors I would think. And Watkins from Cawood in the Seniors.

Looks like 13th stronger than I thought. Four out of the 10 from 13th.

Smith from Harlan Has to be in there. He's hurt but not dead!

Not this again. I have seen all three play and this is my take. Proffit-by far the best overall point guard in the region easy. No questions asked. Allen-The quickest PG in the region. Stewart-The better shooter. All of these players have different components that make them good. Proffit just has more of them.
