  1. Neutral Floor I'll Give You, but why rag on the refs, both schools are 9th region so there should not be a difference. Also, you can't use the Public vs. Private argument on this one. Both teams have good programs, I guess I'm a little confused by this comment.
  2. Verbally committed, he can't sign till the signing period begins in the spring.
  3. Of all the teams in the regional, Scott is the one that people should take notice. Not because they are that good. They are the unknown team of the tourney. Other than N. KY 10th teams they did not play alot of teams further down geographically in the 10th. They can be very scary depending upon which team shows up. Clark should win, however, do not overlook them. They could be the sleeper in the wings for any upset. They do depend on a lot of guard play, not very big except for Howard, although Howard can hurt you as well, he plays generally with alot of heart and intensity. One way or another this game will probabley be within 6 points if both are playing their games. I like Coach Carr, a very intense Coach.
  4. Just finished watching the Belmont Bruins on the Deuce(ESPN 2) punch their very 1st ticket to the Big Dance. In their 9th year of Div. 1 ball Belmont has won the Atlantic Sun Conf. Tourney, Keaton I know was red shirted this year, but I know that everyone plays a part in the season. I saw a few cameo's of Keaton and he sure looked excited at what he was watching and being a part of this teams history making adventures. The jump from NAIA ball to Div. 1 nine years ago was a huge leap in faith by the university and the dividends seem to be starting to pay off. One fan had a sign that read "Come on Duke", which may very well happen. What an experience that would be! Good Luck to the Belmont Bruins in the NCAA field of 65 and hopefully 64.
  5. Does anyone have the link to the latest AP Poll?
  6. Top 4 Candidates without a doubt!! No particular Order: # 1 Pat "The Beast" Elliott # 2 Darrius"Smooth As Silk" Miller # 3 Preston "Dr. Dunk" Knowles # 4 Tyler "The Floor General" Mains Any one of these would be very deserving, I'll save my final selection until I see how the Regional plays out, I feel the determining factor at this point of the season will be based upon who comes out on top. At this point I would have to give the edge to Pat Elliott, he has stepped up to be the leader of this team emotionally, defensively and offensively, this was expected of by the other candidates, but not him. He has consistently done his 18-20 w/8-10 boards nightly. With all 4 being very close, the only tie breaker now seems to be the Regional Champ. Lets see who rides on whoms back to Rupp!!!
  7. Clark Co. and Scott should be a very interesting game, However, the BB and Montgomery game could be equally interesting. I guess the winner will be who can hold the ball the best!! This will be a total chess match, I'll have to go with the Bobby Fisher of the 10th Bart Rison in this match. Both have struggled at times, yet they have had their moments of glory(which ones I don't know), you might consider the cakewalk through the All A for Brossart.
  8. Whats going on, or rather what is not going on. I've seen very few post as to recruiting. Is the talent level just down in KY this year.
  9. Panthers need to bang more inside when they are facing a more guard oriented team. Ludlow hung tough for awhile, but the quickness and lack of ball control became a big problem.
  10. I'll give you that!! Go Luck to Dixie in the 9th, I actually would like for them to make some noise in the tourney. My analysis was in simply looking over their schedule I only saw 3 quality wins, SK, NCC and DeSales. I just felt that based upon the statement being made that they would be better suited for the lose of the Conner/Boone game.
  11. Yes, and they lost to Holmes by 15 so whats your point. You think CCH is the cupcake draw. If thats the case I'll sit back and laugh when the finals come in. Dixie played an extremely tough schedule, this helps. However, I just don't think they are the same caliber of a team as CCH or Holmes even in the post Rice era.
  12. Interesting by somes standards, but I think this would be their worst draw possible. Not quite on the same level as CCH or Holmes.
  13. I think one of the biggest busts of the 10th region this year, has been the play of Russell Allen. Alot of potential with his size, but he just did'nt seem to put it together. I felt that after the regional game with PC last year he showed some promise, just did not come to fruition.
  14. 1996, give it a rest. It's obvious what they mean!!
  15. 60-52 PC with a couple of minutes to go in the 4th
  16. Pendleton was down 2 at the end of 1, 31 -11. However, in the second they caught a little fire, up by as many as 13. Then cut to 5 by Harrison, at which time PC hit a 3 at the buzzer to go back up by 8. Elrod and Belcher have been somewhat ineffective due to fouls, but Davis, Bishop and Gibson have given them good minutes along with some much needed offensive production. The place they say is totally packed and they turned a 100 or more away. P.S. This is second hand info, as I was not able to go to the game, but I'm getting real good reports relayed to me.
  17. Absolutely, One of the best Officiated games I have seen in a long time. Yes, the refs did let them play a very physical game. PC started slow and they never actually recovered. MC led the whole way with PC cutting it to 1 in the closing minute, PC had several opportunities to tie or go ahead, they just could not get over the hump. MC made crucial shot after shot. I'm surprised with Miller's and Turner's totals. They achieved these very quietly, I felt Middleton was the difference again. It was obvious that MC did not want to run with PC, they wanted a slower and more control type game. Tyler Mains took some control in the 4th with his dribble penetration, if he would have done this all night things could very easily have been different. PC likes to run and penetrate with Tyler, they are much more effective in that type of game. I disagree with the one poster, I do not feel that PC was worn down, they still had very good lift in their legs and for any naysayers, Yes, I am a PC fan.
  18. Should be a very good game with a high level of intensity, however, I'll go with the Cats. PC 66 and MC 54.
  19. I totally agree, Johnson did the deed and he paid the price. Maybe next time he'll think twice before he swings the elbow or pop's off. The elbow was one of many shots that both he and Ben gave out, I believe that they forgot that the football season ended in November or they were just getting ready for spring workouts. Being physical is one thing, however tackling on numerous occasions was uncalled for. The sad part of the whole play was that it followed a HHS basket and they had the momentum, it just was not necessary.
  20. Benny is a real genuine guy. I have had the pleasure of knowing Benny for approx. 7 yrs. and also, having worked with him for nearly 6 of those. What a classy fellow!! His love for Ludlow is unparallaled.
  21. To the contrary, Coach Biggs has been blessed with some very good athletes. However, it does take a little talent as a coach to bring out the best in each player. Yes, Big Pat was a tremendous addition to the program, but Pat was not quit as domineering last year as this year. He had some tremendous players with him. I believe this year has been the year we hoped for last, not knowing what to expect from him last year. With the departure of Belcher, Verax and O'Hara, Pat has really stepped up his game to become the go to guy, this was not expected of him last year. Just look at his numbers. The bottom line is that no one expected this years team to have the season they are having, except for Coach Biggs and the players. So lets give a little credit where credit is do. Coach Biggs has done a tremendous job at PCHS since his arrival.
