  1. I'm not saying they can't score, that was my whole point. You have to play some defense to beat this team. Just wondering how many did they score in their loss against HC?
  2. Brossart's defense will make it seem like you played your worst game of the year. I'm sure most of the turnovers were caused by Brossart's defense. Sounds like Scott might need to make some defensive adjustments. Brossart is going to play great defense and more often than not take your best scorer out of his game. Letting them score in the 70's just isn't going to get the job done.
  3. I'm glad you mentioned this, I was thinking this same thing last night but forgot to give Bo his props.
  4. No doubt Tim is the clear cut leader of that team! I'm by no means bashing him he's a great player and a natural leader. However, a couple of the shots he got to fall last night coupled with getting a break here and there just wouldnt happen again.
  5. I can guarantee if they played that game 9 more times and used the same defensive scheme everytime Tim Tierney would never score 20 points again. Played out of his mind last night!
  6. Wrong Steenken was fouled on I believe 5 of those misses not to mention 2 no calls when he was shooting 3's. He was the reason HC stayed in this one. His ability to handle the ball, penetrate, and pass kept HC in it. I would have liked to have seen him score more though. The biggest stat that hurt HC was turnovers, I wouldnt be surprised to see that number in the 20's.
  7. That's one of the most uneducated comments I've ever read. Have you ever seen the two teams play? (Unless by talent you meant Todd Jacobs and Todd Jacobs only)
  8. Holy Cross already handled Newport they arent much of a threat. St Henry might be a different story but they are on NCC's side of the bracket if I heard right.
  9. How many times is HC going to play a team whose best player isn't a factor this year before people start realizing maybe they're defense is doing that. (See Brossart's Uebel and Cooper)
  10. The only one talkin crazy is you BIGZIG. What matchup problems has Edmonson ever created? There's two ways that you can play Edmonson. 1) He's making his outside shot so you make sure Laible or Ryan have a hand in his face or 2) He's not hitting his shot and he's a total non-factor in the game. All he does is shoot threes it's really not to tough to defend. Also, since when does Austin Hill create matchup problems for anyone? Not saying he's a bad player but I've never really seen a team have no answer for him defensively.
  11. Lol.... actually I have which brings me back to my original point. His physical play inside is intimidating and gets in peoples heads, which is exactly what i predicted would happen to Coop and is exactly what did happen. Also, I know for a fact Mutsch isn't more physical then Coop or Lubbers, so again unless his outside game has improved tremendously he doesn't change this game.
  12. No chance Dixie scores 70+ in this game. I dont think it will get out of the 50's to be honest with the way HC has been playin, but you never know with the perimeter players on both of these teams.
  13. I agree that Brossart received no calls underneath, but that was goin on on both ends of the court so my question is why wasn't Coop and Lubbs pushing back??!!
  14. Yea except for the fact that Lubbers played a heck of a game and is as big as Mutsch, and Steenken was able to eliminate him underneath offensively.
  15. Unless Mutsch has become a heck of a three point shooter than I don't think he would have changed the complexion of this game too much. Cooper received about 90% of his touches 10 feet or further from the basket.
  16. Scruggs proved once again that he can defend the elite players in the region that are always much taller than him.
  17. Were u at the game BG? If so is it true Junior guard Niemeyer scored 17 today against Lasalle?!
  18. Uebel and Ryan both played good games in my opinion. Both tried to get involved in the offense but were being focused on and pressured heavily but managed not to force the issue and hurt their team. Both played hard the whole game and played great defense on each other.
