Great game, tough loss for T....They were in control most of the game, but MBA was a different team in the second half....Their 97-yard TD pass in the 3rd and (IMO) the Rocks not going for it on 4th and 1 in the 4th were the difference.

This one was U-G-L-Y from the get-go...St. X came out firing on all cylinders and didn't look back...Other than a somewhat decent drive to start the game by LexCath, X dominated this game in its entirety.

This is a lot of loot for a coach who has a losing record versus teams that completed the entire season, finishing above .500.

Since he's been here, the football program has improved significantly and is know known on a national level...Many will say it's too much money, others like myself will say it's a very positive thing, in that this ensures him being around for several more years...I have been very satisfied with Petrino...You can find as many nit-picky things that he has (or hasn't) done, but obviously someone thinks he is worth the money...Just my two cents.

Nick IS to small to play D-1 ball...Especially at QB.

I don't think either team has ever put anymore than 50 on the board against WHHS. Pretty bold statement this early in the off season. But it will be funny to see you pull your foot out of your mouth! :ylsuper:

NHS Big Daddy's thread about Newport/NCC getting turf made me wonder what other people think about so many high schools getting the field turf....I personally like the idea, after I had played on it at Lexington Catholic, I would much rather have played on it than real Bermuda...Thoughts?

The point is neither school gets the support for athletics in general from the BOE. That's why no one wants to stay in Frankfort. Any hard work or improvement is never acknowledged or rewarded. The BOE expects the boosters to foot the bill for most everything athletically and most wind up doing it. Until their are some adminsitrators that have a clue as to how to manage athletics this will become or remain a common theme.

What difference does it make how the playoffs are aligned?? Like has been said before, if you are good enough to win a State Title in the given year, it shouldn't matter who you play or when you play them.

You think it is bad with baseball, coach fastpitch and schedule against the girls hair appointments during the day.

My fav is always "You cant do that" when some fouls, bc it really gets to them, as a fan it gets to me.

:lol: :lol: We (UofL Pep Band) still do that sometimes...I think its funny...We also sing "He's/She's a brick house" on missed free throws...The crowd gets a kick out of that.

I think there should be a shot clock in high school basketball. It's not a problem on any other level of play, so why not.

And also insulting to Louisville! L'ville is part of the bluegrass and we are proud to have em! :thumb:
