I would guess he's not good enough for Louisville right? Just go after him like you've never heard of his dad IMO.
UL has been known for their very talented QB's, so to go there and play would be a big accomplishment. As for recruiters, you do exactly what OR said...I believe if his dad wants him, he'll get him. There's no reason for recruiters not to go after him just because he's Petrino's son. It may not be in Nick's best interest to go to UofL, so why not take a chance recruiting him?

This post is a joke!
I'll have to agree...A 14-1 season with the only loss coming in the State Championship is far from a bad season...LSUrock, do you know how many teams dream of just stepping into PJCS to play for a title. X has nothing to be ashamed about.

Congrats NCC.
-
IMO, three things keeping him from playing QB at Louisville:
1.) Brian Brohm
2.) Hunter Cantwell
3.) His height

Congrats to Russell and goherd!

Is it me, or did the Trinity family become much much closer with this championship?
Definitley sounds like it. :thumb:

Interesting personal sidenotes for today....
three former St. Gabriel players were mentioned in the CJ coverage today!
Bryan Cardenas-X
Elliott DeWeese-T
and ex-T player-turned super-T-fan...Tony Carraro!
Many thanks as well to the various Grade School coaches at St. Gabriel for helping these young men become the players they are today!
I think I know someone in that picture...

Congrats again, RP! :ylsuper: I could really tell last night that the game meant ALOT to you.

Got a chance to meet Guru and TonyDanza, but didn't get to meet any of the other attendees. Hope I get that chance tomorrow.
Didn't know you were there, Jim...Maybe I'll get a chance to see you tomorrow...Will you be around for the 1A game?

How was the VIP treatment???
Couldn't have asked for more...It was very soothing to know that I could go watch the game on a nice size television, sitting on a leather sofa INDOORS.
(BTW, thanks again TD! You rock!)

What a game!!! You could tell Trinity wanted this game from the beginning. Their defense was nothing short of phenomenal; they stepped up several times on big plays...The biggest of course being the 4th down on the goal line with 2:00 minutes to go. Nick Petrino had a very good game also. His touchdown run was the difference.
Just wanted to say congrats to RockPride, rockmom, and TonyDanza, and Bert. :ylsuper: Also, it was very nice to meet Bert, Watusi, and goherd.

There IS a spotlight on the big school championship. That's the nature of the beast...
I understand why there is a spotlight on that game, but some of the athletes in the other games may feel that their game is just as important as that one.
-
I think it puts too much emphasis on the 4A game...Some of the teams playing on Saturday may feel as if their games aren't as important since there are two other games that day. It makes it look like theres a spotlight on the Friday night game.

Is he good? What grade is he in? Any offers, or is he bound for UL?
Very good athlete...His height will prevent him from playing QB at the next level, but he could be a very good running back if he put on some weight. He is very quick and is good at making people miss.

I am not aware of what any HC coach said but I know that was one of the most classless things I have seen a team do in sometime.
:thumb: You just dont do that at someone else's place...If you do, you deserve whatever you get, in this case, a butt kickin'.

Wow.

Tough to call on this game...
Should be a battle. T is playing VERY good.
Can't wait to see this one
I agree...Seems like the Rocks are peaking at the right time.

Great job Rocks!
Good to see ya Duece.....we will see you next week :ylsuper:

Good run, B-town. You guys had a heckuva year, no reason to hang your heads...Congrats to the Cards!

This was a great game....I attended this one and I'll have to say I was very impressed with Nick Petrino...Yeah, he may be small, but he knows how to lead his team. He is DEFINITLEY a threat running the ball if his receivers aren't open. I forgot his name, but Trinity's running back #41 is a player...Very quick and hard to take down for his size...Should be a good one next week in the Pizza Box!
Got to hang out with TD and RM(thanks for the hot chocolate ) Nice to get to spend some time with you all. Hopefully we can do it again soon!!!
