  1. I don't know for sure but they did lose to Paris, so that is never a good sign.
  2. Come on "Field General" where is your sense of humor this morning? All of us Thorobred fans know how much you Royals like our coach. Didn't mean to get your feathers ruffled. I agree with Hilltopper that both teams will improve and Mason will be a much better team with Kellar on the mound. Have you ever seen a younger or smaller Harrison County team? Martin threw pretty good for Harrison to be a sophomore and Lewis does have good velocity. When he is on he can be really tough.
  3. Where are you "Field General"? You might want to call in to the Lions Club Radio Auction in Cynthiana and bid on the Mac Whitaker Baseball Camp for some of the Royals.
  4. I'm going to go with Harrison. I think they will upset Pendleton in the first round and will win the 38th District.
  5. Clark Madison Central Mason Lincoln University Heights West Jessamine Rose Hill Pulaski Owen Moore 128
  6. Mac Whitaker is the best coach in the state, no doubt
  7. Tough draw for the Breds, I really don't see them coming out of this one on top! But it is tournament time, anything can happen!! They are going to have to have big games out of Britt and Cunningham to even have a chance. Good Luck Breds!!
  8. You can question it all you want, but I know that they have played 10 times during the regular season and play-offs and the only time PRP won they rallied form a 5-3 deficit with 2 outs in the 7th innning to win in 12 or 13 innings. And who was it, Gerry Faust that was a super high school coach in Cincinnati football as long as he was the only one recruiting and then he took the job at Notre Dame where all the teams he competed against could recruit and he failed miserably. The public school championships will not be tarnished and for your information we have won 3 with the private schools included.
  9. I am a baseball fan and I know for a fact that we have played the Louisville "Publics" best and beat them 9 out of 10 times! HCHS owns PRP in head to head competition. So chew on that a while.
  10. I am proud to say that I am a public school graduate and just as proud that they stood up for what is right and voted in favor of Proposal 20. As a life long supporter of my schools athletic teams I think it only fair that the playing field be equal for all schools who compete for State Championships. Everyone has known for many years about the unlimited player resources enjoyed by Trinity and St. X in football and nothing much was really said. However, once that little old private school in Lexington at 2250 Clays Mill Road went from mediocre at best in athletics to state contenders in all sports, they are the ones that Proposal 20 should have been named after. For all you haters who have poured the big bucks into the school at 2250 Clays Mill Road and other private schools throughout the state, I personally want to say good bye and don't let the door hit you on the backside. My only wish is that it would have happened year's ago. Everyone knows that playing with unlimited boundaries does not constitute an even playing field. And just as your "Little Brother" LCA was following in your footsteps it was surely going to happen. When you try to point the blame finger at anyone, it should quickly turn right back on you for you are the reason for Proposal 20. Call it what you want, but I think it is a proud and glorius day for the KHSAA. :dancingpa
  11. Sounds as if Scott is coming into the 10th Region at the right time for them. Harrison County graduated 9 Seniors and there is no real front runner for 2006. However, all you 10th Region fans who may be licking their chops at Harrison County's rebuilding year, you'd better watch out for the Thorobreds. They still have a very good core group of players and if they can get some consistant pitching from Seniors to be Toomey, Custard, Ross, and Giles, along with Junior to be Lewis, and Martin they could be a force to reckon with.
