Had brunch yesterday at Carson's in downtown Lexington. Fabulous.
I had their version of a Hot Brown and my wife had the chicken and waffles. Both were awesome. When we walked out around 11:15 they were on a 90 minute wait.
Highly recommend.

Pretty certain FD played Madison Central, not Montgomery Co.

Heaton’s out of Princeton, KY.

Very cool.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for bringing back memories. Wasn't there something else crazy like a front 7 and back 11? But, I do remember really enjoying the course and the clubhouse staff.
Several unique things about PCC. Turf tee boxes, the bridge, playing up and down the same hollers. It’s definitely something else.
-
Okay, thanks to Google Maps you can get a good look from the satellite of the bridge -- that looks a LOT more sturdy than what I was picturing. I was picturing some rickety wooden thing like Maysville CC used to have on #9.
Crisis averted.
It’s no walk (or ride) in the park.
I remember avoiding the bridge at Maysville at all costs. Hated that thing!

Been many years since I played in Prestonburg. Not familiar with Stonecrest. The course I played had a swinging bridge over the river. Might have been Paintsville (memory?).
That's Paintsville CC. The scariest cart ride in the state, hands down.

Went on a guys trip this past weekend to Stonecrest. First time I had been there. What an awesome layout!!
It was soaking wet, but still in great shape. The greens were just about perfect.
I played terrible, but we had a really good time and everywhere we went in Prestonsburg, the people were super nice.

Tie for 1st for me.
Michael Jordan and Stevie Wonder. Stevie much nicer to talk to by the way.

Nothing crueler than a sleek, sexy new club that plans all along to be unfaithful and let you down when you're counting on her most.
They were actually pretty reliable that day.

Looks like another wet one......

I didn't see a thread on this, so I thought I'd start one.
Anyone going? Who does everyone like for the race?
I'll be there this year, but only on Saturday.
I think there are 8-10 horses this year that have a chance. I personally like Game Winner, Omaha Beach and Plus Que Parfait.

Great hire!
Coach Pigman is a great coach and a super person.

Teeing it up tomorrow in the first MGA event at Greenbrier. Looking forward to it. Purchased some new Titleist hybrids last week and haven’t had time to hit them. I like the look of them though.

Fun city.
If you get a chance visit the Grove Park Inn.

I can drink coffee 2-3 times a year, but not everyday. I actually make my wife coffee every morning and I love the smell of it, but just can't drink it.
I'm a diet mountain dew guy. Got hooked on it in college and have been going strong ever since.
I also love a good glass of tea (sweet, but not too sweet).

Congratulations to these men and women.
Like them or not, we can't play games without them!

I was able to sneak out this afternoon and play Blue Ash golf course (very nice public course in Cincinnati). What a beautiful day! Course was in pretty good shape, especially for mid March. Shot a 39-42=81...back nine was VERY SLOPPY! It's early...that's my story and I am sticking with it:)...
I love Blue Ash. Actually played there on my bachelor party!

Played Friday at the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island. WOW! What a beautiful place! Had a great experience from the time I got on the property. I was treated as if I was the only person on the property.
Shot 83 from the "1 Ups", which I was pleased with considering I hadn't touched a club since October.
If you ever get a chance to play there, do it.

The best in the business, no questions asked. He will be dearly missed not only by Mason Co, but by folks all across the 10th Region and the entire state.
