I would like to see one more score but knowing Coach Haywood the scoring is over for the night.

This defense continues to improve. By the end of the year we may just be able to say this years defense is as good as last years.

I agree, I would rank him just slightly behind Francisco. But both made/make it look so easy and natural.

But it sure is sweet to have that option if need be.

Wasnt really confident that Belfry could hold Russell's offense to this type of night.

Should see some sort of a spark from Russell in the 2nd half. At some time they will have to open it up and put some points on the board.

Yep excuses were plentiful after last years game but im anxious to see if they continue after this one. Belfry is just a better "team". JC probably has more athletes but this Belfry team is finding their identity.

I'd say the former equals the latter.

Big big win for Mason Co. Finally a breakthrough win over Russell. Not downing Mason but Russell must be somewhat down this year.

Classy move by Haywood. Never had any intentions of running the score up when he knew the game was in hand. As for the Pirates, another district title and homefield throughout the playoffs. Dominating line play and the backs ran extremely hard. Finally Ivan showed us what we were expecting all year.

Kelly still in the game? Not sure about that decision.

I actually believed this game would be much closer. The Cards always play Belfry really tough at home. Keep in mind this Pirate still hasnt forgot the 28 point lead we had on SC two years so until the final horn sounds Im not satisfied.

That is if we could have seen anything more than a red flash representing David.:scared: Fast on grass is one thing but put it on turf and it could have been impressive.

IMO its probably more of the former than the latter. Just havent been impressed with the Bobcat program over the last few years.
