  1. I am sick of hearing about Mercer being a 5A school playing in 2A, what about the last state championship Boyle won in 2A, did they not go to 3A the next year? It is the same situation this year for Mercer, if there had not been this new six-class system put in place, Mercer would just be 3A next year. Quit beating this dead horse, it is over and done with, there is nothing that can be done about it!
  2. I think Arnold has a dislocated shoulder, hopefully he will be back by Boyle County, if not they have the depth this year to recover from such a injury, what a difference a merger can make.
  3. The rumor is even after the new school is constructed they are going to continue to play football at their current site. The field is supposed to rebuilt into a stadium that will be second to none with turf like at Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium. My only wish is they would go ahead a do this once this season is over, and if not finished play next year at Alvis Johnson Field. As far as the Boyle game, I hope that it is at AJF, and not at the current site do to the seating, parking, and concessions.
  4. Yeah, and Kentucky could have won the national championship last year in football. Just kidding, Danville is a real strong contender in Class A, and a really good team. It was just a scrimmage, I just wished they played in the regular season.
  5. Both teams looked pretty good. Danville beat W. Jess 38-14 and Mercer beat W. Jess 30-0. Mercer was leading 6-0, when they went for it on fourth down and the quarterback was sacked and fumbled, Danville ran the fumble in for a touchdown, added the extra point and went up 7-6. Danville kicked off to Mercer, the kick went out of bounds, and the scrimmage was over. Danville 7, Mercer 6.
