  1. No pretty clear. Mitchell cannot play. HHS can. They will. The games are played on w/o Mitchell. HHS forfeits all games except the playoff wins.
  2. It is still deabteable whether they would be 1-14 or 5-10 (with a win) because they may be able to count their playoff wins.
  3. Except those in state championship competition. So, 3 wishes, the champion will finish with 4 wins (the playoff ones only) or with all (if it's Boyle). Sec. 1) Use of an Ineligible Player When a student is declared ineligible, all contests in which he/she has played while ineligible shall be forfeited to the opposing team except that this may not apply to state championship competition. So did HopTown get to keep their wins throughout the playoffs the year Pinner was ineligble? Should HHS have to give the Region trophy to Cov. Cath and the Semi trophy to Bell County?
  4. This could be a first in history. A 1-14 State Champion... I think this only makes the gate larger for the KHSAA by the way. Now a lot more people will come just to complain one way or the other.
  5. If those 'plenty' of kids move to go to Cov Cath then that is fine, but if they decide to play sports then they will have to face the same dilemma. Anyone can transfer for academic reasons and none of us would even know about it, but if they suit up in sports gear then it matters.
  6. I think if the title is vacated, then it is even worse IMO. That would mean that prior to the game HHS had the edge and Boyle County would then be punished, either way we are all in agreement, there is no happy ending coming to this.
  7. SouthEast Bell - You and I are on the same boat tonight at almost the same time.
  8. It is not fair at all, however, I guess somewhere down the line a precendent has to be set. According to the KHSAA the move was illegal and the kid is ineligble, this was a risk known earlier in the year and the Birds still stuck with it. If they let this go, then it may continue to happen.
  9. Hatz, if HopTown had won the State the year they had Pinner, would the other team feel as if they had really won the championship though if it was given to them later on in the year and really lost on the scoreboard? Either way it is a bad situation, but if Boyle County got beat with Mitchell I doubt they would feel they had really won the championship.
  10. I may be wrong by saying this because it has been a while since I read the original Mitchell Case thread that stayed on the front page for so long but wasn't the coaches, administration, etc fully aware that this could happen at any point in the season? If so, I don't think the entire blame can be laid on the KHSAA, I mean if this was made aware to the HHS community earlier in the year, shouldn't it be some of the coaches fault for continuing to play him? But I also see where if a coach was to wait this long then maybe Mitchell wouldn't have gotten to play anyway, hindsight I guess. But if a caoch knew that this could possibly be an outcome that is a big risk to take.
  11. Agree with everything you said. I don't think there is a light at the end of this tunnel. I would like your sentence to be true, but I don't think that can happen.
  12. Do you go there often Mongoose? I am there about 3 times a week.
  13. Well that is fine, the kid should be eligible I had just never heard it put that way before. I never even questioned it to begin with, other than the 6 months prior to the season when everything was a mere foggy image. The last time I checked, this board is here to offer insight and information. I ahd no idea what the issue was then, THAT THREAD WAS BACK IN JANAURY OF 2003 FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. You are the one trying to make something of it. I may not have used correct punctuation, but can you not clearly see where I was ASKING the question. Nothing is obvious in the quote above except I was just trying to grasp what was happening back in January, almost 6 months before the season starts.
  14. Also can you see in the post you are referring to that I was not sure, hence the question mark(?) And what I said was true, his dad does drive back and forth from Columbia to Boyle as I re-read, so I was right. The only part I wasn't sure about was if he was a resident, once again, hence the question mark(?) Sorry that last post took so much time to search and investigate for accusations that were not true on me:irked:
  15. Of course they all drive outside the county I never doubted that especially since there are about 10 business's in all of Mt. Vernon. Either way that doesn't matter. I'm still waiting on a reply back from you where I said he shouldn't be eligible...
  16. I challenge you to find the quote where I stated I thought he should be ineligible? I did not do it.
  17. You wasted a lot of time typing that BGFF because I'll admit when I'm wrong. I didn't do it on purpose, I really thought that was the argument. Without even looking at the links you posted I can also admit that it has been a long time ago that, that thread was even popular, say around preseason? I know a lot of people drive out of county and all mine do and I even drove out of district. I have no problem with that anyway, I just thought or had the impression right now that they drove from Columbia. MY BAD. You cannot say that I hate Boyle County, I respect Boyle County as everyone should, end of story. I would like to think that being a MOD has nothing to do with this conversation anyway. It sounds to me like you have a CHIP on your shoulder. I will say it was my bad, I did post false info. on here but it was a misunderstanding, can you handle that? I was not making a BIG DEAL out this, only using it as example that I thought was happening, if I wanted to make a big deal about I would've started a new thread on the subject, but to be honest the thought hadn't even been in my mind till all this Danville/Boyle redistricting thing came about. As a matter of fact I was trying to support the Danville school system.
  18. Then it would be watered down and the best wouldn't be playing the best. 1400 for St. X 1300 for Trinity
  19. What about the kid that played football this year, his dad drove him back and forth to Boyle County from Columbia or at least that is how I understood it from the beginning of the season. He was not a resident of Boyle County...? OK, I'll take your's and their word for it.
  20. Correct but there is a charge. Not sure how much but I'm sure it would be the same as al lthe others.
  21. Danville for instance can only have kids within the city limits. Anyone outside of those limits must pay unless they were grandfathered in from the past. Which is a very few.
