  1. TD Scott County in OT and extra point was no good, now it will be Dunbars chance down 22-16
  2. Dunbar kicks a 47 yard field goal with 11.4 seconds to go. BLOCKED
  3. We have support from our radio station no matter where we travel. They have broadcast games from Florida, Alabama, California, and Las Vegas just while I was invilved with them. Our local newspaper also does an excellant job with photos and stories about our youth leagues t-ball and up. These are just some of the many attributes that makes us the King of Baseball in Kentucky.
  4. JD Ashbrook signed to play Baseball at Morehead State. JD will join former Thorobred's Clay Muntz and John McVey at Morehead. JD becomes the 9th Thorobred from last year's team to sign to play college baseball. Congrats to JD and best of luck to he and his Thorobred teammates in his Senior year.
  5. I was there and a hold is a hold. An offsides is an offsides. A roughing the passer is a roughing the passer. No one said they were mediocre. I was there, I saw the game. I also saw HCHS versus Lex Cath and if both teams play the way they did against HCHS it will be Lex Cath by 14+. HCHS took it to Cov Cath in the second half. Harrison was a much more disciplined team than Cov Cath today. If the refs were so one sided, they would have spotted the ball on the last play before letting the clock run down from 32 seconds to 24 seconds so that Cov Cath did not have to make a decision as to whether or not to punt the ball. I know of an offsides on HCHS and a couple of holding penalties on HCHS that were declined. But for your information, today Cov Cath was no better than a mediocre team.
  6. Congrats to Cov Cath on the win. I am not one for moral victories, but this is as close as it gets to being satisfied with a moral victory for the Breds. I thinks Harrison played as well as they could, laid it all on the line and came up just short. A much better effort than last year when many gave Harrison a fighting chance. Congrats to the seniors on a great career and underclassmen, build on this game for the future. As for Cov Cath, you have a chance if and only if you cut down on the penalties and mistakes. There is no doubt Cov Cath can play with Lex Cath, but at Lex Cath under the lights, they have to bring their "A" game.
  7. Of those 40 players only 9 returned this year. Georgetown has 5 Seniors, 3 Juniors, 1 Sophomore and 37 Freshman as the 2006 Season begins. As far as I know, they will not be playing a JV schedule this year.
  8. The best catcher in the 10th Region was too heavy to catch this year and had to play 3rd Base for the Thorobreds. Custard could have a real college future with some dedication, hard work, and conditioning. His future is in his hands because several colleges were interested in him as a Sophomore.
  9. Hats off to the KHSAA! It's time for all this nonsense to stop. We are talking about high school athletics here, not college recruiting or professional drafts. Eventually when you play with rope, you will hang yourself! This is just the beginning of things to come for both public and private schools who try to beat the system. No sympathy here except for the rest of the legal Bluebirds.
