  1. Good post. Agree with everything. I wish it wasn't going to TBS either, but it is the world we live in these days.
  2. Who else was left? Of course, they were the next highest team left that would have given them the best ratings.
  3. Well if they want exposure and PT UK has plenty of both to spread around starting next year.
  4. And I guarantee the ratings on a NATIONAL level would have been higher than the Tigers/Cards series.
  5. I was thinking more b/c how many Tigers fans are there in Seattle, LA, Houston, Minneapolis, Orlando, etc. Now think how many Yankees/Red Sox fans there are in those same places... If the Yanks and Sox aren't in the playoffs/World Series, from here on out the ratings will be horrible.
  6. So you're telling me that the national media promotes the Yankees and Red Sox b/c of the NY market and doesn't care about the entire nation or its ratings?
  7. Why would the media promote someone nobody wanted to hear about? Have you ever thought of why the media promotes the Yankees and Red Sox all year, b/c there is so many people interested...
  8. But wouldn't that entice more fans to watch...:sssh:
  9. So you are telling baseball is in a good state right now comparatively speaking?
  10. I've got a few questions. Are we still paying any former coaches that aren't on staff anymore, and how much would it cost the program to fire Brooks? These could be key in the offseason decision making.
  11. You have to worry about the future of baseball though when Deal-Or-No Deal has a higher rating the the NL playoffs don't you? Or how about when the NL playoffs will be on TBS next year? That doesn't seem alarming to anyone else?
  12. Does it surprise anyone else that we only have 4 replies to a Game 3 World Series thread? Seems there isn't much interest in baseball in general anymore...
  13. ...then it shows you the parity in the game today.
  14. About time something positive from the local media.
  15. From a Giants perspective, of course it was. On a national perspective, its a no brainer to discuss Bledsoe/Romo/TO...Its all about ratings.
  16. The Cowboys gave the game away. They moved the ball pretty consistently all night, turnovers were the difference and until Dallas fixes that they will continue to give games away.
