What's the problem with Murtha? I know little about him
Ex-Marine who trashed the troops.

Who is next? Everybody in Hollywood must be scared to death.
Well, Hugh Laurie just turned 50. And with that bum leg and his addiction to pain killers....

He did not want to say anything about the election in Iran to avoid any hint of us trying to interfere in Iranian internal affairs. Why did he make comments on the internal affairs of Honduras so quickly?
Uh, because they're not Muslim?

But you have time to make lame jokes about a couple of them.
Nope wasn't me.

What has he done that upsets you? Said that he would stand on the side of other countries that want to resolve this peacefully? Or did I miss the announcement about US troops heading south?
You mean besides lay waste to this country? Nothing, we're good.

U.S. District Judge Denny Chin cited the unprecedented nature of the multibillion-dollar fraud as he sentenced Madoff to the maximum of 150 years in prison, a term comparable only to those given in the past to terrorists, traitors and the most violent criminals. There is no parole in federal prison so Madoff will most likely die there.
"Here, the message must be sent that Mr. Madoff's crimes were extraordinarily evil and that this kind of irresponsible manipulation of the system is not merely a bloodless financial crime that takes place just on paper, but it is instead ... one that takes a staggering human toll," Chin said.
Extraordinarily evil? This judge ain't seen nothing if that's his definition of extraordinarily evil.

I GUARANTEE I could make every one of those shots in 24 hours....
Please let there be a bookie taking bets on this.

Sorry, I didn't realize he had any close friends or relatives on BGP.
6,000 people die in this country each day. Sorry, but I don't have time to lament all of them.

Looks like Rep. Frank is attempting to get another crisis started so that he can save the day again.
Frank asks Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac asked to relax loan rules
Unbelievable! :idunno:

If the video is a sample of his work, then he was a terrible impressionist. RIP

IMO opinion, God is omnipotent and all knowing. To me that means he knows every possible choice and every possible outcome. You can' surprise God. BUT, we still have free will to make those choices.
All paths have the same beginning and the same ending. They just take different ways to get there.

No way I build a house right now. Find a builder who has market homes he can't get rid of and get a sweet deal.

Canadians in general are horrified at the aspect of the United States going to a one-payer system. Where will they go to get necessary medical treatment?

I didn't particularly care about the situation when it first came out. But, if memory serves me, his official reasoning for the backdrop was along the lines of being consistent with previous speeches. According to the linked article, he made Biblical references during the Georgetown speech. At any rate, the two scenarios don't smack of hypocrisy to me.Agreed. Additionally, using symbols in the background and using appropriate word at times during a speech are two separate things.
Now, if he gets up and gives us a baptist (or catholic or methodist, or any non-Christian religion) sermon, then that's a different thing entirely.
Under that line of thinking, wouldn't it have been improper to give a speech at a Catholic University? Would he have had Allah's name covered at Cairo University? As others have said, its a matter of consistency.

This is the war we should be in. The Iraq whateveritis only hurts our ability to be where we should be. By this time, Kim Jong Il should have no doubt what will happen to him, his military, his government and his nukes should he make the wrong move. Instead, we continue to say to him, "Now Kim, you play nice with the other kids and maybe we'll get you a treat."
Now that he's threatened the destruction of South Korea, Japan and the United States, we should be on a war footing with North Korea. Check every vessel that leaves port. Destroy any missiles he puts on the launch pad. Prepare the 3rd MEF for deployment to Korea. Have Sentrys and Hawkeyes in the air around the DMZ.
And prepare ourselves to use our nukes.

Drop the bombs and open up some racinos in Pyongyang.
Let's watch the foul language!

Kind of like how the Iraq war was supposed to last no more than 6 weeks? Wars are never that easy.
Sure they are if the military is used correctly. Go in, kick butt, get out. This rebuilding and security crap is what wears our military down.

I don't know what the big stink over Obama's spending is. We have plenty of ink and cotton/linen paper left.

I think they should impeach Sanford. He basically walked out on his job without telling anyone. If I left my job for 5 days and no one knew where I was, I wouldn't have a job to come back to.

I've got my picks whittled down to 3
Steve Slayton
LT
Drew Brees
I want to keep Brees, especially with me picking so late in the draft. But I'd have to give up Slayton or LT and I think that might be a bigger mistake.

I can't believe we haven't stopped this ship for inspection. I think we need to throw Executive Order 12333 out the window.

We covered this in a thread before I took a couple months off.
I had to fix my post. It was dropping the last part.

Obama did not want the name of Jesus to be seen behind him.
Georgetown Says It Covered Over Name of Jesus to Comply With White House Request
Yet he had no problem with reading from the Quran while in Cairo.
