  1. I'll take Danville 24-14, These teams had close to the same winning margin against Franklin Co., as of fridays dominating win over Washington County, the Ads are far improved from that time. The big key is continuing the momentum they have been building the last few weeks.

  2. If the ADS can keep up this type of play they will win 2 or 3 games in the playoffs. I really think Danville is the best in this disrict. I know Bardstown beat Danville, but I think last nights perfomance against a common apponent probably proves my point. I know Bardstown had some key injuries, But Danville could have scored a lot more. Sam Harp is class coach in these situations, he played the young guys part of the third and all of the fourth quater. He also took 3 knees and punted with 4 minutes left in the game. This is the type of performance a lot of people thought they were capable of and what made some of their other games so frustrating. Good job Admirals keep the momentum and attitude going because you are facing a good Frankfort team next week.:thumb::dancingpa

And Danville defeated and perfomed well against Fort Knox.:thumb:

  3. Christian County is down this year, but I still think they get it done. Boyle is not what they used to be.

What planet have you been living on?:idunno: Boyle County is in my opinion as good as they have been in their past championship years. CC won't run on them and they have shown the ability to do well against good passing teams. You will also get the pleasure of meeting McShara and company!:scared:

  4. Very tough loss tonight to a hard nose green county. Green won the battle of turnovers tonight as well. Monroe was a little flat and just never found a really good rthym. Was very surprised at how well green defended the wildcat offense. My hats off to a victory for green. I guess I can say that we will see them again...

Just wanted to say that Danville seems to be waking up out of the funk they have been in. I think you can count on a lot stonger threat from the Ads than you may have been counting on, I guess it remains to be seen, but if the Ads play to their potential you may not see each other again.:thumb:

  6. Danville better be careful and not overlook what was a very frisky Washington Co. bunch last week. Turner is as fast or faster than anybody the Ads have.

I don't think Coach Harp will let these guys overlook anybody, and with the rain today and the condition of the field may slow down Mr. Turner. If Danville plays to their potential they should win comfortably. If they make bone head decisions in play execution and foolish penalties coupled with poor tackling they could lose. I hope they play well and gain some more confidence for the playoffs.:walk:

  7. In my opinion you do whats best for the team. There will be plenty of big playoff games with stadiums that are small and not enough seating. I don't think there would be that big of a capacity difference between Centre's Stadium and Rebel Stadium. There would be plenty of parking, people might have to walk a few blocks. The City of Danville has fine new parking garage with lots of space just a few blocks from the field. Back in the early 90's Danville had to travel to Prestonsburg for a big playoff game and fans had to deal with seating and parking issues.:scared:

  8. I don't see any Boyle fans citing anything differently. (Thin Thirty doesn't count because he's a dirty Admiral grad  j/k Thin Thirty :thumb:) It's not a slap at Bell's speed or Boyle's.

The reason for moving the location would be providing the best field for both teams to play on. :thumb:

Don't get excited Bell faithful, just having a little fun, I know Boyle Co. and Bell Co. both have great teams this year. I will be really surprised if you guys aren't playing each for the opportunity to go to Bowling Green, where ever that happens to be. I do know one thing, Danville though having a down year still has plenty of speed and Mcshara ran away from them. I think his ability to see the field and cut on a dime is what makes him so dangerous. I know Bell Co. got to play against him last year, but he is a lot better this year. I am looking forward to this game.:D

  9. I'll take the Ads in this one, I'll say 42-7. This may give the Admirals some much needed feel good medicine. I heard Coach Harp say they where just trying to stay positive, at this point thats all they can do. I would really like to see them finish strong and get out of the funk they have been in. I know thay have great potential and hopefully next year it will really develope. Although this year has been very frustrating and I have been very critical of this team and coaching staff, I still wish them the very best the rest of the season. I guess it might be bad to say but if this disapointing season had to happen, it was good it happened this year, because no team in 2A will be able to come close to Fort Campbell for the state title this year. It looks like to me they should be in the top 5 overall in the state.

  10. My point about tackling is seen in the pictures of the game posted on the home page of this web site. # 20 tackles harper around the legs and feet and saves a touchdown. #8 tries to grab Harper around the upper body, he gets stiff armed and Harper goes fo a big gain probably the one that put them in field goal range and kicked the winning field goal.

  11. To be honest these are the worst Danville and Bardstown teams I've seen since the two have been playing. Neither one will do much in the playoffs. In this game if the Ads tackle Harper around the legs and ankles instead of grabbing at his upper body and the coaching staff doesn't put their players in bad situations with questionable play calls, then Danville wins this game going away. For example, you have a lead and are moving the ball, Why do you throw a half back pass with a player who has no experience throwing the ball, he throws a wounded duck thirty feet in the air which gets intercepted.:idunno:. Then your moving the ball down the field with Will Dunn running a Wild Cat form of offense and decide to go to his weakness and he throws a wounded duck thirty feet into the air and it gets intercepted:idunno:and on both plays you only have one receiver down field.:idunno:. On top of that comes into play not using time outs when you could have. At the end of the first half we litteraly waste 1 minute and 30 seconds:idunno: At the end of the game we don't use the time outs efficiently and waste a lot more time we only needed to get into feild goal range:idunno:. I noticed at the end of the first half coach Harp ripped off his head set after not using the 2 time outs we had available, Does anyone know why he was upset? Maybe he heard some suggestions from the stands he didn't like. These coaches need to evaluate themselves as well as the players, I hope they are not trying to drive square pegs in round holes because of stuborness or pride. I'm sure they are frustrated, along with the players and fans. I have been an Admiral player in the past and fan as long as I can remember I'll support them from now on, but I will also give my opinion when things are messed up., and from what I have heard from other Knowledgeable football fans. The coaches need to take a big part of the responsability to get this team back where it needs to be.:thumb:

  12. I'm pretty sure Will Dunn will be back in the line up for Danville. He was the starting quaterback at the beginning of the year. He pulled his ham string in the first game and couldn't do much until the last game, 2 weeks ago against Boyle County. He ran the ball a lot in the fourth quater, and came out ok as far as I have heard. If he is back at 100%, he is a tough running back, he will give Danville's offense some much needed fire power. I'm pretty sure Coach Harp has comitted to our freshman quater back as the starter. Dunn, Brand, and Lynn in the wishbone would be very effective.

  13. I'll take Danville in this one. The Ads are at home, they have had a week off, hopefuly coach Harp has had a chance to coach the Ads up a little. Even though the Ads have had a rough first five games their record is about what some people expected, with that being said I think the biggest disappointment was the amount of points they gave up in those losses. We will also have to wait and see if the Ads can find someone to take Tevin Raines place, he was probably their best defensive player. I'll take the Ads 28-21.

  14. I agree with you on having full contact in practice.:thumb: But I did not know that they were going light to no contact in practice. That doesn't sound like Coach Harp. Didn't Coach Mummy at UK do the same thing no contact?

From what I have seen and others have told me, there is very little contact in practice, much like Hal Mummy's practice. The reason being trying to prevent injuries to the limited number of players they have.:idunno:
