  1. Hey Danville fans, how is the seating in Admiral stadium? Monroe travels very well and I was wondering if you guys have visitor bleachers or will we all pack in on one side? My wife and I always get to the games at least 1 1/2 hours early to get good seats wherever we go!
You will find that Admiral Stadium has a nice, very nice, large, very large, visitors side seating. I'm not sure about capacity but I think you will have plenty of room.
  2. This will no doubt be the toughest game of the year so far for the Falcons, you have to think that playing strong running teams like Green, Franklin-Simpson and Allen County-Scottsville have helped prepare the Falcons for the Ads but the Falcons record against those teams has been 0-3. The defense has gotten better in the last few weeks but I'm not sure it's enough, I do know that the Falcons will have to be disciplined on defense because of the misdirection offense from the Ads, it may be a good week to practice defense without the football again, it seemed to help against Ft. Knox as there where far less blown assignments than weeks prior.

On offense, I think the Falcons can give the Ads some problems with their balance, in my opinion the short passes to the flats may help spread Danville out and take Danville’s LB’s out of the picture which may open up the delayed draw’s as well as give Jackson a chance to pick up some good yards as well, I also really liked the split backfield look against Ft. Knox, the lack of safety help over the top really opens some things up for Trent Tooley. Hopefully all the Monroe backs will be healthy and able to grind some tough yards out against an athletic defense from the Ads, I think it will take 28 points from the Falcon offense to have a chance to win or a big advantage in time of possession.

    Monroe 28

    Danville 21

I doubt seriously that MC can hold Danville to 21 points.:walk:
  3. Good Job Ads, too many turnovers, but the defense got 2 or 3 back with interceptions. Danville got penalized 10 times for 120 yards. The refs were quick to hit the ADS with personal fouls, but not against GC. There were at least 2 late hits out of bounds on the Danville sideline that didn't get called. The rest of the flags were holding calls against Danville, I'm not sure about those:eyeonyou::idunno: Danville had more called on them tonight than the rest of the year combined. OH well, on to next week, the ADS will have to put some stickem on their hands next week.:walk:

  4. East does have a new hammer. They took it to the North Oldham and Franklin County games. I am sure they will bring Friday night. I expect this to be a close one. They have change up a few key players and they are very confident they can win this one. They are big, fast, and they will run it down the rebels throat as they have everyone else all year. Did you hear their running backs had over 600 yards last Friday? They are ready!!
    :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::eyeonyou:
  5. I'm not doubting Green County.:thumb: They are very capable of winning this game.I just feel like this is Danville's year.Last year Green County destroyed a very bad Admiral team, the only losing team in coach Harps career. This admiral team is night and day from last years team. Also I think this game being at home will be a advantage for the Ads.

Good luck to the Dragons and everyone traveling to the game have a safe trip.:thumb:

I have the same feelings about the game as you AA, don't worry about the people who don't like us talking about the ADS, for some reason people get upset about it. I think everybody respects GC, I know I do. But if Danvile comes to play and executes well I like their chances in this game.:dancingpa
  6. Not with the way Class 2A is this year. You asked for seven teams I thought were better than Danville. I answered. And I'm never always right by the way. :D
There is only one team on your list that is probably better than Danville at this point and that is NCC. All these posts about Danville having their time are funny. I didn't realize how bad Danville's 10 State Championships stung peoples feelings. Danville knows how good Green Co. is, and respects them, and will be ready come friday night.:thumb: Oh! and the future is very bright with young players coming up, all the way down thru grade school.:D
  7. What a difference a couple of hours on a Friday night can make. (Washington County gone, Glasgow gone, Monroe County with a second round home game against Ft. Knox, and next week either Danville or Green will eliminate the other) Things are looking pretty good down in Tompkinsville all of a sudden!!! Go MC Falcons!
Don't let things feel too good, if Fort Knox knocked off your districts #1 team they must be playing well at this point.
  8. :thumb:

Not many people gave the Eagles a fighting chance last night..but boy did they show up to play!!!! I guess the Glasgow swagger got the best of them last night. On any given friday if you don't bring it this time of year you turn your stuff in on saturday!
ABSOLUTELY! I can't beleive this score, Fort Knox must have turned it up a notch.:scared::eek:
  9. Yes they are good, but more their are determined! They will not lay down nor will they back away from a fight! The Ads had better get ready for a very tough game. I just hope Green can get the kinks worked out in their defense before they get to Danville or it could be a long night!!!
I think Danville will be ready, they basicaly just practiced their passing game against Metcalf and their top running back didn't even dress for the game, he had a strained ham string. If Danville holds turnovers to a minimum, I like their chances against Green Co.
  10. DEFENSE will be the key to this game. Seems that Washington's D had trouble stopping the run when facing Danville. Monroe has some speed in Kendall. However, Washington has a good passing game while Monroe's DBs are questionable. I believe the overall playoff experience and toughness would go to the Falcons. With that being said, I'm taking the Falcons in this one 34-32. Look for Vickery to have a good game !!!
Sounds like it could be a shoot out. With the information you have given, it would be to MC's advantage to keep the ball on the ground and play ball control. Washington County can score in a hurry when they get that passing attack cranked up. They all so have receivers that can make difficult catches.
  11. It won't be easy but I didn't see much difference in the Danville of this season vs. the Danville of last season against Somerset. The Ads have some great athletes, probably more than the Briar Jumpers. However, they just didn't seem to respond well when their athleticism was matched and they aren't that physical. Almost everytime an Admiral ballcarrier got hit hard they put it on the ground and when Somerset went up 3 scores in the 3rd quarter Danville laid down. From that point on they seemed to only want to draw personal foul penalties and try to fight. Danville has got some great athletes and a hall of fame coach but I think they are still a year away from being mature enough to make a run at state.

Green County has some athletes and they will hit Danville hard and I think they'll win. Although, honestly I'm for the Ads--I hope they prove me wrong. I'd like to see them win 2A this season.

Do you think Green Co. is as good as Somerset? I think Danville underestimated Somerset, Why they did, I don't Know. But Danville is way better right now than they were this time last year.
