I don't think they had alot of mistakes and the defense I thought played a good game, but in my opinion I thought the offense could have played better in that game especially in the first half. They had the ball 2 times first and goal (1 of those may have been in 3rd qtr) and came away with no points. I know you have to give Russell's defense some credit, but that was not good execution on Breathitt's part to not at least get 7 out of one of those 1st and goals. I thought in the the 4th when their backs were against the wall they executed well when they needed to the most.

I agree with this post. I think the thing that scares me most in this game is Breathitt being able to put up some points on this Belfry defense. I think the one thing that alot of people are over looking here is Breathitt has a pretty darn good defense too. They have played some decent teams on the year and really outside of LCA no one has put up many points on the starting defense. They held Russell without a TD in the entire first half and held Prestonsburg to one TD on the game. Those were both games that Breathitt would not have won had it not been for solid defense because they sure didn't rack up alot of points. I really do not see this being a high scoring game either. I would almost go as far to say that 21 points may very well win this game for either team.

The Breathitt County Voice is a weekly newspaper. It comes out either on a Wednesday or Thursday.

I might agree on NCC and Beechwood, but if you are giving Breathitt no chance not sure you can put LCA in there because Breathitt played them down there in the regular season and put a whoopin on them.

I am not sure on how many they have. I know they are young overall and will have alot of their skill people back. They have a bunch of soph. and jr starting on this team.

Russell had a great season and played a great game. They made 2 goal line stands to stay in this game. Not many people have held Breathitt's offense in check all season and to give them 1st and goal 2 different times and hold them out of the endzone is very impressive.

Breathitt don't have a great kicker but they had the ball twice inside the 10 yard line that would have been 2 chances at a field goal.

I don't think they were anywhere near field goal range at the end. If I am not mistaken they were around midfield or so.

Was a great game. It has to be a tough loss for Russell they definately played well enough to win.

Breathitt comes back from 10 down in the 4th to beat the Red Devils.

Wow what a gut check by Breathitt in the 4th after trailing 17 to 7.

Intercepted by Breathitt and game over.

Sacked for a loss 30 seconds to go it will be 4th down and 20 to go time out Russell.

WOW! What an impressive 2 drives for Breathitt after trailing by 10. Russell will have the ball with 2 minutes or so to work and needing at least a field goal to tie.

Extra point is good and its 20 to 17 Breathitt now with the lead.
