  1. I don't see any reason to have kids back in school at this point.
  2. One popular model has lowered projected deaths in the United States to 60,000 (from about 80k on April 5). Kentucky's projected deaths was also lowered to around 1,000 (from about 1,700). COVID-19 estimation updates | Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation
  3. Doesn't change the fact that out of those who have tested positive the death rate is too high.
  4. You think millions are already infected and asymptomatic in Kentucky?
  5. Our overall deaths vs our number of cases is bad. Too many dying.
  6. 54 cases and 14 deaths for Kentucky. The #of deaths per total cases is not good.
  7. That's just for the first wave. Some think this will come and go until we have a vaccine.
  8. It seems like a year ago I first saw that one. Crazy.
  9. I am just saying that some people claim we have tested far more than the 18k we officially show. I don't know how many or why we can't report that number. I also don't have an answer to your question.
  10. I believe some say we have tested more than the numbers show.
  11. I saw a tweet that said there are 9 current cases of COVID 19 at Vandy and that the number of total patients in the hospital is nearly half of what it normally is. Apparently their ER was dead all day yesterday.
  12. No idea. I thought that could be the case as well though.
  13. COVID-19 This study is now projecting less than 100k deaths in the US. Less than 1k in Ohio and Tennessee, but 1,700 in Kentucky. I wonder why Kentucky is projected to have almost 1,000 more than neighboring states?
  14. Some of us are still working, going to the grocery store, etc. Also, I can stand in my front yard and see a ton of traffic every day.
  15. The death rate is too high and hopefully goes down...but it is likely lower due to people having the disease and not showing symptoms or not getting tested. I'd guess we have far more than 800 cases right now.
  16. Agree. Too many differences.
  17. China lying did not help. We would absolutely be better off has we known the actual facts, imo.
  18. There is zero chance China is giving correct numbers.
  19. Part of the reason numbers are down is they probably aren't responding to some of those calls. My point was police are still going to be out working and around people, which is why there are so many sick.
  20. Criminals don't follow the law, not to mention someone still has to respond to calls at peoples houses (domestic violence).
  21. We may find out. I think they have around 40k officers, but if over 6k are off that's a big chunk.
  22. Millions of people die every year. Thousands from the flu. It would be easy to write some off as the flu when it was actually covid 19.
  23. I deleted my Facebook and do not regret it.
  24. Italy is getting hit harder than most. Apparently they have lost a lot of people with pre existing conditions. I read somewhere that 99% of the people that have died from corona virus there have had pre existing conditions of some kind. Still scary, but there must be a reason it is so much worse there than it is anywhere else.
