BC should win this one, especially at BC.

McCreary is the obvious frontrunner to win the 12th. I've enjoyed watching Watts a lot over the years. I hope he gets a chance to show the state what he's all about this year on the big stage, and it looks like he's gonna get his chance as of now.

Actually, Boyle was winning the district when the region was at its best. BC, aside from last year, is always a contender. I assume from the sarcasm in your statement that you don't think the 12th region/district is down?

I agree on the district being young. Everyone in it will improve. A lot of young players playing.

Exactly. I really thought BC and LC would be a good game. Judging how they both played against the Ads and Golden Lions. But tonight was all BC. This district and region is down about as bad as I can ever remember.:idunno:

Big win for BC, they dominated the last three quarters. LC played with little effort, and had answer for BC's defense. No offensive rebounding for LC, didn't even make an effort to rebound. The Rebs have the upper hand in the 45th now.

This should be a very good game. Wouldn't surprise me for the two to split home and home this year. It's gonna be important to get the one seed in the district this year.

LC's game against East went right down to the end, it was a close game. Aside from that, LC has double-digit wins over West Jess. and Wayne. This region is always hard to figure out.

McCreary Central is the favorite in my opinion. I think 5 or 6 could get hot and win it, but the Raiders are the favorite.

Exactly my point, some of the other regions are so stacked. It's really hard to rank high school basketball teams. No one really gets to see everyone.

McCreary was my preseason number one in the 12th, seen nothing that would change my mind. As far as top 25 statewide, I don't know. The 12th is normally pretty weak statewide. McCreary has to prove they can win big in the postseason. They've been great during the regular season the past 4 years, and don't have much to show for it. The 12th region is wide open though, as GCHS said, plenty of teams that can't beat each other.

I think Mercer is a very dangerous team too.

LC will have trouble getting out of the district this year IMO. BC and Danville are going to be a handful. Getting the one seed is going to be huge this year in the 45th district. LC is very inexperienced this season, but they are well coached and play defense (most of the time). And, as you referred too, they've made it to at least the final four of the region the past 4 years. Winning it twice.

Wow.:idunno: The way you had it previously, I thought you meant in the state. Yes, I was confused. West and Wayne will be two of the top five in the region before the end of the year, IMO. I still wouldn't be shocked to see a West vs. McCreary repeat.

Before the year, I would've said McCreary and West Jess. were the frontrunners in the region. I still think they have the most talent, but as of now I think the 12th is wide open.
