Close the entire first half. LC quickly stretched it to double figures to start the third quarter and led by 13-18 pts most of the second half. Cannon played decent, probably had 11 or 12 points. The Jeffries kid hit a lot of 3's late. Skyler Gilbert led LC with 21.

Exciting finish... This was a game where neither team played their A game. Points were hard to come by. I thought Casey did a good job of switching up the tempo. They started the game playing really slow and being very selective, then they turned up the heat and pressed. LC was hampered with early foul trouble. Really never got in a groove, and missed a shot with 4 seconds left to win the game.

Nice game from LC, a bunch of people contributed. Spurlin did a good job of being a big factor in the game without scoring a lot. Now, it's time to get ready for the other Rebels.

It is true. I think it was originally set up as an 10 year plan, it may have been shorter or longer. I know this is the third time that the boys region has been at LC since it started. It rotates, the boys are at LC this year and the girls will be at Pulaski County. It was done like that for three reasons. Two of the largest gyms, when the plan was developed, adequete parking and location. I agree, it seems unfair. I would like to see the region played somewhere totally neutral. Like Centre College, etc.

Talk about hating... How does Lincoln not impress you? They have dominated Boyle County this season, and have the best record against 12th region teams in the entire region. Forced or unforced errors, they are still errors, and the opposing teams defense will get credit for causing them. And to be honest, LC's pressure defense really bothers Boyle. I agree, if Boyle can solve LC's defense, they can beat LC. Obviously these are errors that BC hasn't corrected all year, they have only won four games in the 12th region all year. 0 games in the district. What evidence do you have that they can/could compete for the region? As for the "our JV team beat your JV team"....:eek: What does it matter. Very rarely does freshman or JV success translate to varsity success. Reason being, especially at programs like Lincoln, Boyle, etc. The good young kids are already dressing varsity. I think Bottoms was a good coach, and did inherit a lot of talent. However, if memory serves me correctly, he was interim head coach. He came and and won right away, then was given the job. I don't doubt that there other reasons that he is not there now, and quite frankly I (as a LC fan) am glad he is gone. He was hard to beat.

This should be a great game. Lincoln is undefeated in the 12th region. They have lost 3 games to top ten teams, and one game out of state. Casey is a great team too. Too close to call for me, but I am excited about watching it.

Exactly right. The 12th is really even. I am hoping for a 45th 4peat though.:notworthy:

This is a fantastic breakdown. My only difference would be Danville as a cinderella team, if they can get past Garrard County. That Danville vs. Garrard matchup will be a classic. The winner could win the 12th. :thumb:

Lincoln will be down next year, but after that.... look out. Of course, everyone, including yourself, thought they would be down this year too. In which compared to the last two season they were. However, they have the best record in the 12th region, within the region. That's a pretty good year. I think this is the year that the Raiders finally break through. That team is very dangerous and look to be getting this together after a tough regular season. I think McCreary has the talent to win it, but honestly they haven't showed they can do it on the court. How do you figure they are getting it together. They are 5-5 in their last ten, and 3-3 in their last six games. They were basically beaten by double figures in all of their games against good competition.

He should think they were good. They knocked him (West) out the last two seasons. Sounds like sour grapes.:idunno:

I think West or SW comes out. LC will be tought at home though.

Boyle and Lincoln have been pretty good since the realignment of the 12th regiion. I would argue that Lincoln would've been better than the "Laurel's" in three of the last four seasons, and are equal to them this year. As for Garrard, I think their lack of depth is catching up the them. Everyone in the area has played a difficult schedule the past couple of weeks, due to the ice storm. Garrard only plays 5 kids, so it has hurt them.

Danville only lost by 3 without Taylor, wow....

Close game, Casey County has been playing some good ball.

The final score was misleading. Lincoln trailed by only 3 points with less than 3 minutes to go in the game. It was a game of runs, both teams had double digit leads at one point or another. Catholic's depth and press was too much for the Patriots, Catholic pulled away in the last 2 minutes and won comfortably. Very entertaining game.
