I’ve heard Kenny Davidson is leaving Seneca and returning to BG, taking Warren Central job. Seems legit but haven’t seen anything official.

I believe Waggener and Southern are both filled now. (I think) Southern made an internal hire with Nelson Jackson and Waggener hired Chris Johnson, a former AD.

Fern Creek has been filled. I’m hearing Southern has been filled as well but just not official yet. Waggener and Iroquois are the only jobs still open after this weekend.

Looks like @BobbyKnight was correct. Internal hire!

That's correct. But Coach Wheeler at Butler would be in the mix but with two different stints.

I see your point but very few teachers come in with a Rank 1. It’s likely a better comparison to use 1st year teachers as Rank III + 15 or Rank II. So to be fair, an average entry level teacher in JCPS is making $53k Regardless, yes the public school teachers in Louisville are paid more than the parochial. Seems like JCPS has essentially thrown higher salaries at the problems created by lack of accountability for students and parents.

JCPS does flat rates based on years experience. Once a coach reaches 4-5 years, they max out on what they earn coaches. I could imagine attracting MUCH bette candidates if coaches were offered 18% of their teacher salary.

Friend of mine in-the-know says to be looking for Coach Porter, their DC I believe, to be the internal hire. I’ve also heard Eckloff name but highly doubt it. Coach Porter was also a finalist for Central.

I’m hearing an announcement is expected this afternoon. Maybe 2:30 pm.

You’re exactly right. We definitely need more of this. I can’t stand watching the students who never played the game out there on sidelines and fields talking trash and taunting. Good for OC player for being above that stuff.

Coach Ellison is now the Athletic Director at Doss HS in JCPS.
