If I was leading the search committee I want the following: 1. A young successful assistant from one of the local NKY high schools. 2. This young coach needs to hire a experienced assistants with local ties. 3. The new coaches needs to get active in the community. Pound the feeder systems. Scott losses so many players to other local schools. Get alumni involved. 4. The middle school needs to practice or at least the same area with the high school. I could be wrong, but I thought that is what Lloyd did a number of year ago 5. The middle school needs to run a similar system as a high school 6. Need to establish weight and performance program. I went to a few games this year.. they are small. They can't compete in 5A with the current size

2 games is not a decent season. I believe the expectation was going 500 and go to the playoffs

I know Davie is young, but is he getting any looks from colleges yet? Hopefully he will stay for all 4 years.

Lloyd looks very good. I don't think this coaching staff gets enough credit. Who will be their main competition in 3A.

I saw on Link NKY, were Cook threw for 7 TDs. Not taking away from this accomplishment, but I ran into one of the coaches from Holmes last night. Is there a reason why Scott was throwing up to the last second with varsity players on the field?

It really stinks that Scott lost Hampton. I watched a few games last year, and he played so hard. I thought he came out of nowhere to lead Scott. One of the games I saw last year, he put up 31 and 11 against GRC.

If you look who is playing, Scott is extremely young. They don't have a lot of juniors. Sophomore class has some promise, if they can keep everyone. Injuries have really hurt them this year.

To me after watching SK the last two weeks, they need to be able to run the ball. That will make Ryle commit a safety to stop the run. If that happens, Harris will dominate.

I think this game will be a shootout. Cook has been playing good at QB. I still think he misses Hampton at WR, but Zinser had some pretty nice catches last week. But in looking at stats, Cook hasn't thrown for over 200 yards since Hampton got hurt in the second minute of the Bourbon County game.

As I posted in the Great Crossing thread. Webb running ability is key for this team. He looked good tonight. This will help him in the passing game.

The SK QB needs to work on his mechanics. He missed a number of throws to Harris. Harris is very good. Great routes. Webb is very tough runner. In watching the game, I am surprised he isn't called on illegal motion. He bends down before the ball is snapped.

I talked to Aaron's dad last night. Surgery was a success. He starts PT this week. Aaron is still hopeful and is still thinking about playing in college. It hurts that he got hurt during his senior year, but hopefully there is a college coach that gives him a chance.

Aaron Hampton, Scott's leading scorer and rebounder is out for year. He was hurt against Bourbon County returning a kickoff in the second minute of the game. In talking with his dad, he tore his ACL. At the time, he was the leading receiver (14-407-7) and leading tackler.

From what I have seen, they play Freshman schedule. Looking at Freshman scores from the past 5 years. They had only have had a Freshman team the last 2 years.

From the KHSAA site, looks like they have a large freahman class. The trick is to keep them in the program. The problem is 6 Juniors and 11 seniors with only handful of those players having significant varsity experience.

Impact of Hampton was greater than what I thought. Scott is so young now. I saw a quote where Scott's coach said, there 4 DBs are sophomores and they have 3 of 4 WR are sophomores.

I watched this on Hudle, nothing like the Scott coach calling 3 timeouts in the last minute down 62-13, to score against the JV team.

Yea. Hampton being out will also hurt. Before he got hurt he was leading the team in tackles, tied with INT, lead the team with reception yards, and touchdowns. Scott has some young talent. In talking with the coaches, they are making some adjustments, not to mention Hunter Bradley is back from injury. So that should help too.

Does Dixie have a good running game?

Don't think so.. from what I have seen in the few games I have been to.. he isn't a running back.. TE/ DE

Last Friday, Scott lost one of their top players, Aaron Hampton. Before the injury, per team page, he was leading the team in most stats. From what I saw during the game, I do believe this had an impact against Bourbon County. Now with that said, I am hoping the coaches can make some adjustments, they have some nice players in Hardy, Cook and Tomlin.

I decided to go to this game. After Bourbon scored on their first possession, on the ensuing kickoff return, one of Scott's best players went down with an apparent knee injury Not saying this influenced the final score but in looking at the stats he was leading the team in a number of offense and defensive categories. In talking to some fans, he was also the basketball team's leading scorer. Prayers to the young man.

Wow almost 3 players 100 yards receiving. that's unbelievable
