I have to agree with you about the arrogant attitudes, but I do believe that it is a small percentage of referees.

A hobby? I doubt that. I spoke to one official that detailed what they go through on any given night during the week and I sincerely doubt that any of us on here would do this. A referee in Wayne Co. has a game at Mercer on a Tuesday night with start time of 7:30. That is 1 hr and 40 minutes according to Google. One way! They have to be at the gym at least 45 minutes before start time. That quickly turns into a 5-to-5.5-hour night for $80. Are you going to do this and listen to a coach or fan cuss you and try to embarrass you? I think not. Also, don't forget the wear and tear on their vehicles and bodies to travel to these games. I believe that most referees do this as a 2nd job to supplement their incomes and I believe that they all do it because they love the game.

Some of the coaches and fans have crossed the line this year. That is why the t's and ejection have taken place. Don't get personal and do not approach an official during the game and everything should be fine.

Lincoln at #2? Interesting being as they are coming off of a 16-13 season and losing 3 seniors and a transfer big. But, that is why they play the games.

Barnes did leave early in the season and really did not contribute much when he was there. I don't see Danville being much of a threat. They basically have 1 player and another that has good size but other than that....

I am not 100% but I do not believe that this is a violation as the defender is not delaying the game or hampering the ability of the offense to inbounds the ball. The simple solution for this is for the offense to not grab the ball from the defense.

Ellis averaged a double double last year. Name another returning 12th region player that put up these types of numbers last season.
