Correct, Adam Kozerski has never been a head coach. I'm also not sure what his relationship is currently among other assistant coaches in the area, but from what I hear there are doubts about his ability to piece together a coaching staff if most of the Wiggins staff leaves with Wiggins.

Casey absolutely takes his job seriously, and is as motivated as anyone to get a football coach hired as soon as possible. After morale among the players and some of the coaching staff soured under Coach Turner and then after Scott's big hire last year turned into a bust for reasons out of their control, Casey is making sure he gives his due diligence to making the CORRECT hire for the job. Apparently that means taking the time to make sure he has quality applicants. Thus far the job has evidently garnered very little interest from applicants. It's a struggling program that just moved up into a very tough district. They are also located in a school district that has two much more established football programs less than 10 miles away from their own. I've been told there have only been six applications received so far and the majority were from people with no head coaching experience, and apparently one or two with neither head coaching experience nor high school coaching experience. And although I cannot state for fact, I do not believe Joe Wynn has applied.

I guess you could say I'm kind of a long time listener, first time caller here. I've been around Northern KY for a handful of decades now and spent time in a small handful of parishes and been involved at several schools in Kenton and Campbell counties, including Holy Cross. Adam used to teach math at Holy Cross and moved over to the math department at Brossart a couple of years ago. I've recently had conversations with two experienced teachers at Holy Cross and they expressed a lot of frustration with the fact that Bruce is on the hiring committee. To be honest it sounds like they're pretty displeased with the apparent hiring committee on the whole. It seems that Holy Cross wants the new coach to work in the school, and with Bruce being on the hiring committee and son Adam having applied for the job, there's a perceived inherent bias built in towards Adam getting the job and rejoining the Holy Cross faculty. The teachers I've talked to felt like Adam really struggled as a teacher while he was at Holy Cross though, and additional to their concerns about his teaching, they feel that at best his coaching talents lie in coordinating and not necessarily as the man steering the ship.
