  1. Pikeville with the interception. 4:20 to go in the 2nd.
  2. Pikeville scores and 2 point conversion is good. 14-7 Pikeville, 4:50 in the 2nd quarter.
  3. Belfry scores. 7-6, 10:17 in the 2nd.
  4. Pikeville fumbles but Belfry turns it over on downs.
  5. Pikeville strikes first. Xtra point no good. 6-0, 8:42 in the 1st.
  6. If Pikeville’s offense opens up the playbook like it did against LCA, they should make it a good game. If they try the game plan they did against Raceland last week, the game could get ugly quick. But since this is a rivalry game filled with pride, I think the Panthers bring their A game. Give me Pikeville, 31-28. And
  7. Service here isn’t great. I’ll do my best to get the updates in.
  8. Dohn Community canceled its October 11th games vs Pikeville, so the Panthers have September 27th and October 11th available for a tenth game. Not sure if that helps any of the affected teams.
  9. Pikeville travels to Raceland Friday to take on the Rams in a rematch of last year’s Class A State Championship. The Panthers come into the game 0-3 and are in desperate need for a win. Raceland is 1-1 after getting its first win vs Letcher Central. Who wins in this matchup of Class A powers?
  10. Pikeville travels to Lexington Friday night for a matchup with LCA. Both teams are coming into the game winless, but from two very different perspectives. LCA has battled with two of the better teams in the state in Boyle Co (arguably, the best team in the state) and 4A power, Franklin Co. Pikeville, on the other hand, will come into the game after getting manhandled by Johnson Central and losing to Corbin in Week 1. This matchup has huge playoff implications in that the losing team will more than likely be on the road come playoff time. Will LCA continue to flex its muscle against a lower-class team? Will Pikeville find the strength to make it a competitive game after last week’s poor performance? So many questions surround both these teams and we’ll all get answers Friday. Who wins, Pikeville or LCA?
  11. Touchdown Johnson Central. They’re up 14-7, 3:50 to go in the first half.
  12. Pikeville strips the ball and recovers the fumble. 1st and 10 at their own 7.
  13. Pikeville. Corbin did a great job neutralizing the Panthers offense. They’re going to have to put up more than 7 points if they hope to defeat Johnson Central on Saturday.
  14. Mountain royalty meet in the nightcap of the 2024 Pike County Bowl. Johnson Central will take on Pikeville in a rematch of last year’s game that saw the Panthers win 21-14. Both teams are coming off disappointing losses in their opening games of the 2024 season. Johnson Central lost to Madison Central while Corbin knocked off Pikeville. Needless to say, neither team wants to start the year 0-2, so Saturday’s game is a must win for each squad. Who wins, Johnson Central or Pikeville?
  15. Corbin in the victory formation. The Redhounds will win the game, 22-7.
  16. Pikeville turns it over on downs. Corbin ball at their own 29. 1:19 to go.
  17. Corbin is forced to punt. Panthers take over at their own 13. 4:19 to go.
  18. Touchdown Pikeville. 22-7. 6:04 to go in the game.
  19. Touchdown Corbin. 2-point conversion is good. Corbin 21-0, 9:10 to go in the game.
