  1. List some names of the coaches from the Louisville, BG, Lex, or Etown that you think would be willing to come to the Hopkinsville area. There is a lot of talent in the Hoptown/Christian County area just not sure if there is enough to attract one of these big name guys you are expecting.
  2. In a nutshell when the big booster and some other influential people in the McCracken Athletics did not get their way they went to Paducah Tillghman and used their sphere of influence to basically get the majority of the athletes in those two classes to move with them. when this happened it caused a vacuum for McCracken Football in those two classes. Therefore, numbers are down right now but I am sure there will be a rebound starting in the next class. However, on a side note it does not really matter how big your numbers are if you are not getting the best athletes in the county.
  3. Anyone who is delusional enough to think that Coach Clark would leave McCracken for a tryout is crazy. The only reason it took so long for Clark to make the move was that he needed to get some reassurance. You would never leave McCracken for a one year trial even if you were on the ropes. The admin probably did contact the big boys in Louisville but they all probably told them they were not interested so they decided to go with the safe choice. Clark does do a good job of developing a team and structure.
  4. You don't think that number drop had anything to do when the booster took his kid and pretty much all of the kids in the class above and below him. The numbers will increase again it will just take a couple of years to realize those numbers.
  5. Rumors I am hearing is putting the great defensive mind of Coach Lopez together with the offensive genius of Rusty together for a tryout of DC and OC of the Mega school.
  6. Edge is more likely to go to Kentucky Wesleyan than McCracken.
  7. SO who does Clark have in mind for this position?
  8. As long as Paducah Tillghman has a strong program McCracken will not be dominant every year. They can be a good program but not dominant much like Graves County being in the shadows of Mayfield.
  9. Congratulations to Coach Clark. Many of the pieces of his offensive staff are still there so it will be interesting what he does with his defensive staff.
  10. Everyone is talking about Clark being an automatic contender for the consolidated job they have forgotten about a former County coaching great Coach Keith. Maybe they can lure him back from Tennessee.
  11. What about Lovely? He coached under Lovelace for years. He could be head coach and run the defense while Rusty ran the offense.
  12. If they are going to hire Clark for the Hoptown job then they should hire Lopez for this job and let them compete for the Consolidated job. Loser leaves town.
  13. TO clarify my statement I think that Clayton is leaving the program in a much more competitive state then when Clark took over several years ago. However, there are some discipline problems that will have to be taken care of to take make a consolidated team to the level to compete with the Louisville teams. For those who want to compare records you also should weigh in the fact when Clark had his most successful years at Hoptown that Christian County had some very good teams as well so the talent was split between the teams.
  14. If he does he will have some things to clean up much like he had to the last time he was there.
  15. I think they have to look at the young Robinson kid because he may be able to bring back the kids that left for Paducah when Coach Clark would not guarantee to start the QB1 at Paducah when his father demanded it.
