Other teachers and coaches aren’t in positions that Make money that pays for MANY other programs throughout the school. This is a business decision as much as any and should be treated as such.

We all know you don’t clean your gutters or balance your check book Sweep!

Sounds like it’s not BB V then from that reasoning. I don’t think a college coach would worry about this aspect of telling his current employer/team that much.

So what’s the hold up at this point to making an announcement JOAT?

Well, look at it this way, how many people could name the Superintendent or Principal at HHS that are from outside the community? How many people could name the HHS Football Coach from around Greater Cincy/NKY and in the state of Ky? Many more would know the name of the HHS coach, especially back when it was Dale Mueller at the helm. It’s a high profile gig whether people want to accept that fact or not. Certainty the most high profile position in the School district.

I don’t believe this for one second. Bertasso will absolutely make the hire and deal directly with the candidate, but everyone in town knows this will not be his decision exclusively. There is way too much at stake for all stakeholders involved to let one Non-football person make that decision. This is a hire that will effect the School, Community, and the kids in more ways than just wins and losses. For good or bad, the HHS football Coach is viewed at as more than just a Teacher and Coach, but as a Community leader as well and they have to understand that if they want to be successful.

I think there is another “Home Run” hire out there, but folks just don’t know he is quite yet. He’s been mentioned already, but not sure how much folks know about him. I’ll just say it would be a VERY good hire IMO if he is in fact interviewing for the job.

I think there is only one candidate mentioned so far that would get the fan base "Super excited" as far as I can tell.

There is probably a candidate or two that, if given the opportunity to hire, the Hiring Committee would be null and void. I’m sure there were already a few people that were rubber stamped automatic hires as long as background checks come back fine. This could be an indication that their first choice(s) didn’t work out.

Wow is right if true! Sweep, I thought they had interviews scheduled this week? If true, it sounds like they got their man and don't need to look any further. Hope your source is real!

Didn't Paul Hladon win a Chip in 87 as an underclassmen? Pretty sure he did.
