Hey, we didn't lose, lol.
I guess that's true. But we sure tried hard to.
The Colonels didn't care to play football tonight.
-
Can you count that as a win for CCH?

We can lose this. We'll find a way.

Pssssst, Colonels, Noon is prolly gonna run the ball. Maybe try to tackle him.
-
Yeah, I didn't really want to beat Highlands tonight anyway.

If my coach's brother, who also happened to be one of the team's biggest fans, had died the week of my biggest rivalry game, I would be out to bust some heads come kickoff time and play some inspired football on my coach's behalf.
The Colonels are not out to bust heads or play inspired football. Disappointing. Sincerely.

Got a battle in Northern Kentucky.
Is it a battle if neither offense is playing football?

Interesting is one word.
I would go with "lackluster."
Or "uninspired" maybe.

These look like two football teams that are very much not excited to play each other.

Oh good, they're carrying out that cute little tree trunk.

Talent on the field, I take Dixie's roster over Cov Cath's. They have a great group of seniors.
I agree with you on the coaching comments.
Dixie definitely has more talent on the field than CCH. No argument from me on that one.
Coach Brossart calls the same 3 or 4 pass plays and the same 3 or 4 running plays and thats his entire game plan, or lack thereof. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. As a football program and as a school, Dixie is historically very accepting of mediocrity. I can only assume they all have Bengals and Reds season tickets too.

There are no Beechwood parents who made any such statements. (Just like there are NO Beechwood fans who have said that the team is the best in Kentucky) Coach Rash was not part of the decision making process. How do I know? FIRST HAND knowledge. Anyone who says otherwise is lying.
I struggle to see why Cov Cath fans are so concerned with this topic. You have families who made decisions about their kids high school education/experience ... you know ... just like how parents have made the decision to send their kids to Cov Cath.
I will end with this ... people who live in glass houses ... I think you get my point.
Wow, in the 14 minutes between the post you quoted and your own post, you were able to check with every single Beechwood parent to see whether or not they had said that? Color me impressed!

Ok, if we are evaluating scrimmages I have to say I felt sorry for CovCath at the Beechwood-hosted 7on7. CovCath had 1 play turnovers in the scrimmage against Beechwood and didn't improve against Dixie. That is without defensive line pressure. Let's compare Apple to Apples.
7on7 isn't a scrimmage. It's a glorified "hey let's toss the football in the yard". CCH and SK played in a real-game simulation scrimmage for 3 quarters. If you wanna talk about 7on7 you might as well start talking about times in the forty for RBs, and legpress/benchpress/clean weights for linemen.

Tough loss. Again pick 6 hurt. A missed tackle resulted in another TD. I think I would run out Hinegardner to returns. RB is a big issue. Richter out, Geisler awaiting papers, Hosea comes out injured. Robinson and Dunn had to tote and our big contributors on defense and Kissee and LaFrange had ton of snaps both ways but they move people and had to have 20 tackles between them. Non district, work hard and learn. Hopefully some return from injuries.
Haha, don't a lot of TD's come about from missed tackles?

1st and 10 Cov Cath on the Dixie 16 yard line.PLEASE can we stick with Agee at quarterback?

Holtz at QB. Runs it around right for no gain.
3rd and 8 Cov Cath on their own 34 yard line.He consistently runs backward before cutting it up field. That play he went backward 3 yards before running forward.

Same. It seemed like a given to me.

Dixie deserves some credit.
They do.
But once Rohlmann gets gassed after playing both ways and being their offensive go to I don't know what their game plan with be.

Freshmen reclassifying. Gotta love it. Did they not get to go to enough camps or get enough exposure….
4 minutes ago, WhiteCastle said:I understand why this was done for upperclassman but freshman?
Could ACTUALLY be for academic reasons? (Shocking premise, I know.)
Maybe as an undersized freshman he wanted another year to develop physically?
Maybe he was bummed because he wanted to play QB and BW had their starting QB repeat his senior year and mess up the pecking order underneath?
