As of the end of the third Quarter last night, Walton 8th was beating Sharp 30 something to 6. Thought that score would have been tighter.

The interception was at the one yard line, drifting towards the sideline, full extension and one handed. It was a thing of beauty! Timely turnovers helped the bulldogs. Happy Holmes got their first win. Thats a young team with a bright future.

My significant other is a coach there (another sport) and told me about it the other day. It was player on player and coach on coach according to their account. Another story coming out of there a couple weeks ago were one of the defensive coaches used some colorful language directed at the Girls head soccer coach about the use of the field. This is alleged to have happened in plain view of the girls, and football players. So there is for sure some spill over from a down year.

Yes the weather has been a bear. Most of the make-up games have scheduled or played over the last couple weeks. Going to be an interesting post-season. Tonights Sharp/Holmes tilt at Scott High should be entertaining.

A little over halfway through the season so who is everyones favorites to bring home the hardware this year at the 8th grade level? Any upset predictions? Large? Medium? Small? The best battle is coming out of the Medium division between Sharp, Holmes, and Walton. Twenhofel looks good coming out of the Large I believe and Bracken in the Small.
