Cards score again on another long slant pass... 28-0 with still over 10:00 minutes left in 2nd quarter..

A touchback on ensuing kickoff gives the Tigers 1st and 10 at own 20..

After a loss of 12 on a bad pitch, Jaggers throws a pick that's taken back to the 6 yard line where Halliburton takes it in for another score on next play.. PAT is good.. Mayfield 21 Caldwell 0 with 10 secs. left in 1st quarter..

A pickup of 3 on 1st down... A pickup of 6 on 2nd down... On 3rd and 1, Riley picks up the 1st down at there own 32

A dead ball personal foul on Caldwell on ensuing kickoff gives them the ball back at there own 15 yard line... 1st and 10..

Another big run and 1st down to the 44.. 2 plays later, Guthrie hits on a quick screen pass to Harrison, who does the rest and takes it all the way for a 2nd Cardinal TD... PAT is good, 14-0 Mayfield leads with about 3:00 to go in 1st quarter..

The Tiger D forces 2 negative plays, setting up a 3rd and 17, but Guthrie completes a 18 yard pass for a Card 1st down..

After a great run down to the 1 yard line, Caldwell fumbles is into the endzone for a touchback, so, the Cards dodge a big bullitt and will take over 1st and 10 from the 20

2 plays later and Caldwell has it 1st and goal at the Cardinal 8 yard line..

No gain on 1st down, a QB sack for a loss of 8 on 2nd down, then a big completion to the Cardinal 20 for a 1st down..

On ensuing kickoff, Riley gets a great return into Mayfield territory all the way to the 30..1st and 10 CC..

Touchdown Mayfield on long pass play from Stinson to Matthews on 2nd play of drive.. PAT is good, Mayfield up 7-0 at the 7:46 mark in 1st quarter..

After a procedure call on CC, the Cards stop them for no gain and then an incompletion, setting up a 3rd and 15 from the 24.. They pick up 5 on 3rd down and the Tigers went for a 39 yard field goal, but a bad snap is bobbled and Mayfield will take over at the Caldwell 34 yard line..

Caldwell gets a 1st down on 2 plays down to the Mayfield 19..

The Cards get the ball 1st, but on a 3rd ant 10 play, the Cards pick up a 1st down but fumble it and Caldwell recovers.. 1st and 10 CC at the Mayfield 30..

I was just thinking what it would look like if the playoffs were broken down into only 3 classes and only the top 16 teams made the playoffs and it was seeded, so, I put together a scenario where 1a and 2a are combined, 3a and 4a combined and 5a and 6a combined and seeded the top 16 teams in each to come up with a fantasy playoff. 49-0 at halftime.. Mayfield's offense has run a total of 7 offensive plays in the whole 1st half.. They've scored twice on punt returns and once on a pic 6 and 4 scores on 7 offensive plays.. Pretty efficient, I'd say, but, in all fairness, Webster's a bad team to say the least.. The freshmen should get plenty of action in the 2nd half..

Mayfield now up 42-0 with 6 minutes left in 2nd qtr... Running clock from here out.. I expect JV to take over from here out..

Webster fumbles on its next possession and the Cards get the ball at the Trojan 18 yard line and they score on the next play on an 18 yard run by Trey Matthews to go up 21-0 with 5 minutes to go in 1st qtr..

After another 3 and out for the Trojans, Mayfield gets good field possession and scores again to go up 14-0 with just over 7 minutes left in 1st qtr..

Mayfield's strikes 1st on 3 plays on it's 1st possession to go up 7-0 with 9:34 to go in 1st quarter.. Webster got the ball 1st and went 3 and out on it's 1st possession..
