  1. I believe he would be eligible to pitch on Thursday. 3-5 innings is 1 days rest, 6 is two days, 7-9 requires three days according to the information I found on the KHSAA site. With a maximum of 15 innings in a 7 day period.
  2. It doesn't matter to me so much that I will actually put the time into plotting a map. T and X can meet every year in the finals and it has no bearing on my life. I am just stating that I find it hard to believe that there can be a line through Louisville that divides East/West.
  3. Witten pitched Tuesday night against Rockcastle, but I believe Danville has a full compliment of pitchers available for tonight's game. Danville has swung the bats well the last two games.
  4. My issue lies with where the East/West line is drawn. How can half of Louisville be in the East part of the state and the other half in the West? Are half of the 4A schools in Kentucky west of Louisville and the other half East of Louisville? Just draw and line somewhere, but don't draw the line to conveniently match up two Louisville programs in the finals.
  5. I heard them say he hit 93 on several occassions last night. He was throwing well.
  6. Danville (30-6) makes its way to the championship game by defeating Wayne County 13-3 and Rockcastle County 16-1. Somerset (25-11) defeated Mercer County 3-2 and Lincoln County 6-3. Danville won a matchup earlier in the season in the 12th Region All-A Classic by a score of 9-5. 3 games in three days... Pitching could be a key factor...
  7. Seems to me that the stronger schools would play the "scheduling issues" card due to not having to play the "weak sisters" of their district and can schedule more tournaments and non district teams to bolster their schedule. How can you work a HOME/HOME district schedule if you play a double header on the district night? Might as well only play each district opponent once and seed from those results.
  8. The problem is working the schedule to incorporate playing all district opponents twice while still maintaining a tough non-district schedule with tournaments and such, should a coach choose to do so. Then when you have district games rained out, you have to cancel games in order to get the district opponents in. That being said, I think seeding is the best method to keep from matching the two best teams against each other in the opening round and one of them being eliminated. I am just pointing out the problems of having to play all your district foes twice in a season in order to seed, and that is possibly why some districts choose not to do it, and draw instead.
  9. How many players are normally selected for the All Tournament Team?
  10. Maybe they will break out the all-blue uni's against Lincoln County tonight!!! It will make for a great photo shoot with Lincoln County's Montreal Expos style hats.
  11. Seems as though everyone at the park was confused by this as well. The announcer even introduced Danville as being the home team. Danville finished the season undefeated in district play and was the #1 seed. Garrard was the #4 seed. For those from Garrard County who were in charge of organizing this tournament (Head Coach & AD), just because you are the HOST team doesn't make you the HOME team. Even if there is a draw for the tournament rather than seeding, doesn't garauntee the HOST team of being the HOME team. It's luck of the draw.
  12. You asked for proof and he gave you proof and you say that's it, period... but then have to add that you won't believe 'till you see it for yourself... Come on let's give this one a rest. PLEASE! Can Rich thrown in the 90's? Apparently that answer is yes. If you don't believe it, don't ask anyone else. Take your own radar gun to the park this spring and put it to use. Make sure it is calibrated just before you go though, we don't want any skewed results.
  13. Way to avoid the question... I guess if denial gets you through the night, then more power to you.
  14. Why would there be? Danville and Boyle don't compete in this class. Is it so hard to believe somebody could have an objective opinion? If everything else were equal - coaching, facilities, tradition, money, etc. - don't you think the odds would favor a team that could draw from a talent pool of twice the size of another team?
  15. There are several other amaller factors that come together to help such as the private school advantages, coaching, support, money, etc.....BUT there is no doubt that the biggest advantage these two schools have is in their size advantage. Without that, they would still win championships, but they would be a lot closer to their competition. In my eyes, that size advantage really diminishes the stature of their accomplishments. It's much more exciting to see a school come from the middle of the pack in their class to win a title than it is to see a school that is essentially playing down in class every single game win.
  16. Are they the ones that you hear if you listen to Trinity games over the internet? If so, I will have to respectfully disagree. There is far too much talking over each other, yelling, etc., At times, you can't tell what's going on. It sounds like amateur hour. Listening to a Cov Cath game or two this year, their announcers are the same way.
  17. How many of the BE fans are taking charter buses?
  18. What are Bullitt East's facilities - i.e. seating capacity, parking, etc - like?
