Spencer Back at Elliott County?
Oville Baller replied to Cubster's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I am surprised he isn't transferring from the Hargrave Senior Center. How old is this kid? I have heard he might be a little old to still be in high school. -

Pikeville to Announce New Coach Wednesday
Oville Baller replied to Oville Baller's topic in KY Baseball (High School)
He (LeMaster) could have been interested. Doesn't mean he would get it. I was told the other finalist was Shelby Valley coach Jordan Compton. -
Mason Co has only won 3 region games since 2006. Seems like he coached right up to par.

Nothing would surprise me from that school system. I hope it has gotten better since the Tim Moore days. -

He has been doing the scheduling for next season. -
Bath County (18-3, 4-0) travels to Morehead for a big 61st district doubleheader with Rowan County (20-5, 3-0). Should be two good ones. Who you got?

All the Feldhaus coaches were contacted and turned it down. Also Tim Sullivan from Cooper and he wasn't interested either. Doesn't sound like top coaches want to deal with really high expectations with a talent pool that has dropped below Scott, Campbell, Clark, Paris etc. -
Open Job: Betsy Layne

I am hearing the following teams will play at Bath County's Christmas Tournament next season. The name of the tournament last season was the CSI Classic. Bath County Johnson Central Adair County Lewis County East Carter Estill County Russell Anderson County This tournament will definitely be worth keeping an eye on if Zion Harmon is still at Adair County. Some say it is a longshot, with many thinking he will transfer to a prep school. Still a pretty competitive field.

It could be a "Life changing job" for a coach. -

There are rumors floating around about candidates but I think the biggest question is who would want to move to Ashland to put up with those people? Honestly?? -

Greenup County's Harold Tackett has decided to retire at the end of the school year. Who jumps out at you for this job?

Raceland/Bath Predictions
Oville Baller replied to Cubster's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
This one is tough to call. If Spencer Pergrem can't get shots the Wildcats will have a tough go of it even though junior Jake Porter has been playing his best basketball of the season. Raceland's Riley Potter and Travis Weaver have dropped off in scoring as of late and have been very streaky. Freshman Kirk Pence might be the Rams best player but how many times can you depend on a freshman to win you a region game? If the Wildcats can hit good shots and get second chance points they should revenge their earlier All A Championship game defeat. I'll take Bath County to win 61-56 for their 2nd win in a region game in 41 years.
