  1. This region will have 5 teams that can win it, Oldham Co, and anybody in District 30, Anderson Co., Collins, Shelby Co, and Spencer Co. The pitching will be down for Oldham, Shelby and Anderson, but not Collins and Spencer. Collins will have Paige Oldham and Carson Murray while Spencer Co. will have Emily Cole and Elisabeth Huckleberry. All 4 of those are above average pitchers. Shelby Co and Oldham Co should hit the ball well and Anderson Co just knows how to win, but they've lost alot. I wouldn't even want to guess who'll win this region because the 5 teams are so close.
  2. I forgot about Brittany Ernst, she stopped pitching for a while. Great kid and family.
  3. Rocketsdad, Didn't Eastern and Assumption lose their best pitchers? Who will replace them?
  4. This region comes down to 2 teams, Ballard and Male. Both teams are loaded with talent. Male has Suski, Walls, Case, and McCoy, and Ballard has, Brill, Houston, Skaggs and Kelley. I know Both teams have more outstanding players, but those are the ones that came to mind. Male has owned this region the last 4 years. Is this the year Ballard gets passed Male? As for the rest of the region, you have about 5 solid teams that will compete with most teams outside their region.
  5. This region has 4 teams that are very equal, Holy Cross, Mercy, Butler, and Bullitt East. The Best player in this region is Taylor Roby, but the problem with BE is they can't score against quality pitching. Other than Roby they just don't hit. Mercy had a down year, but should come back strong. Lexi Ray is a solid pitcher and should lead this team to a least the regional finals. Holy Cross had a great year, but I don't see them getting back to State. Butler I feel is the wildcard in this region, they have solid pitching, but you don't know what you'll get from them hitting wise. My pick would be BE over Mercy in a 1-0 game.
  6. It would be hard to see anybody but Scott County coming out of this region. The only team that would have a chance would be Woodford Co.
  7. McCracken lost a ton of talent last year, does anybody push them in this region or will it be another trip to State. Who will be the best players in the region this year?
  8. I would be surprised if anybody but Male or Scott County win State this year.
  9. East Carter schedule is online, doesn't look much better than last year. They only play 3 teams that I would say are elite and that's East Jessamine, Scott County and Male.
  10. We're just 6 months away from tryouts, who are the teams and players to watch? Does Mercy get back on top? Does Bullitt East break through? Will somebody upset Male? What will Assumption look like this year? Can Holy Cross get to State again? Will North Oldham be the best team in Oldham Co?
  11. I stand corrected, in 2014 Outlaws won a C tournament, 2015 won B tournament. But this I do know, those parents didn't see the actual statistics. Both those players are very good like a said, but the player you said lead the team in homeruns and hitting did lead the team with 2 homeruns at Nationals, but was 3rd OBP and 4th BA. Both girls played great defense. My comment about 6 or 7 girls better was based on the whole summer. I'm just going to leave it at that. I wish your daughters the best of luck this year.
  12. Rocketsdad, I'm not sure where to even begin with all these misleading statements. First the 2 Outlaw teams won C tournaments in Panama City. The 2 best players probably on the Sluggers team as you say didn't even play all the tournaments this summer. Neither was in Colorado because of the dead period. One of them played half the time in Nationals because of a shoulder injury. No disrespect to those players because they're very good, but I can name 6 or 7 girls on that team that play better. In my opinion those 2 girls were the best players on the Outlaws and they probably left because they wanted to play real quality teams ever weekend. I've seen alot of tournaments and I've never seen the Outlaws beat a Slugger or Stunner team, but I have seen them get run ruled by them.
  13. Badger I hope you were kidding with some of the teams you named. One team is a C level team and two other are B level teams. What age group is the Crawford team? I tried to find this team in ASA Nationals or PGF and I couldn't find them.
  14. In the Summer of 2014 you had 2 quality Louisville Lady Slugger 12u teams that competed at the ASA Nationals, one from E-town finished 25th the other from Louisville finished 33rd. I believe that if the organization had someone leading the younger age groups in 2014 they would've finished alot higher, maybe winning the Nationals that year. The talent was there. The reason I mention this is, I believe Kentucky has enough talent to compete for Nationals ever year and now that it has some direction with Lisa Pinkston and Josh Bloomer helping run the younger groups, it should take off.
  15. Ohio population is 11.6 million, KY population is 4.4 million. So they should have more teams and organizations. I would say the Louisville Lady Sluggers and Louisville Stunners can play with any Ohio organization.
  16. I agree that the district is about to be turned upside down, but it's going to be because of the young players for Spencer coming of age, but also because Anderson and Shelby losing a ton of quality player. Collins lost players in key positions. Spencer could go from not making it to region, but making it to State.
  17. Spencer Co. Was very solid last year and young. They had 2 top level high school pitchers last year that are coming back. The top of the line up killed the ball. They have 3 stud players that are Sophomore or young who will make all-region if healthy.
  18. District 41 1. Woodford Co. 2.Franklin Co. District 42 1.Scott Co. 2.Henry Clay District 43 1.Lafayette 2.Paul Dunbar District 44 1.Madison Central 2.Madison Southern
  19. The easy pick would be to say that Scott Co. wins it for a 5th straight year, but I believe that Woodford Co. Will finally get over the hump.
  20. Male is the team to beat once again, but don't be surprised if Ballard, Assumption, or Sacred Heart pulls the upset. District 25 1. Presentation 2. Manual District 26 1.Male 2.Assumption District 27 1.Sacred Heart 2.Atherton District 28 1.Ballard 2.Eastern
  21. This Region will come down to 3 teams, Bullitt East, Butler, and Mercy. I think this year Bullitt East will get passed Mercy and Butler because of Pitching. District 21 District 22 District 23 District 24 1.Holy Cross 1.Butler 1.Southern 1.Bullitt East 2.PRP 2.Iroquois 2.North Bullitt 2. Mercy
  22. What happened to Bobby the brain? I was waiting for the senior list, and maybe a list of best middle school players playing up.
