I 100% agree with you, but unfortunately it happens all the time with parents trying to make there kid the next Michael Jordan.

I sure hope we done this week. Still trying to get the "Big School" tourney started/finished. They may cancel it all-together if we can't get it done this week. IT'S DRAGGING...

You're correct you can't just go backwards. Hince, the logistics issue just mentioned. I was just showing that reclassifying happens all the time(In high school for leaving early, in middle school for holding back). He said it doesn't exist in high school at all.

Wasn't trying to cause a stir. I was just saying "logistics issue" to be nice. Basically a way of saying your not comparing Apples-2-apples when comparing the 2 schools and that if he wanted to he could not saying he would or should but he could make a case to stay with his age group if truly wanted. That's all.

That's not true. Kids reclassify all the time, usually opting out of there senior year to go to college sooner. I didn't say he'd still have 4 more years of sports but he would be able to play with his buddies if he transferred and moved back to his age group. That's just a logistics issue.

Not yet...They can either move into district or if you don't move, I believe its similar to Beechwood you are able to pay tuition to attend if there is availability. Availability is based on the numbers for each grade if I'm not mistaken.

McGuire from Newport is in the 9th grade BUT he started early and could be an 8th grader. It would be nice to see him come reclassify and play Freshman/JV ball next year with the Bluebirds. He has a couple of buddies on that team. I don't think he stays at Newport either way.

We would've went. We wanted to go last year too. Someone put the brakes on that. Not really sure why it got axed. Definitely not saying HMS wins but we would've made a respectable run.

Yeah, they need to take a look at the seeding process for sure. It's based mainly on district wins. 7th was only a #2 seed because they won 9 district games and Woodland won 10. Woodlands record in district is 10-2 and HMS is 9-1. It could've been even worse for the 8th grade. Highlands was 10-0 in district and had 2 teams that wouldn't reschedule make up games. Summit View was 10-2 with 2 loses both to us. We've beat Summit View 4 straight times this year and didn't lose any district games and our #1 seed came down to a coin flip with them...luckily we won. Tell me that's not a joke.

***UPDATE*** I just heard all games are cancelled until next week!

I wonder about all of the playoff games out at Summit View. Are they cancelled too now since some of those schools are Boone Cty?

Not 100% sure. I saw that too. It works out for the HMS fans. HMS 8th is currently 20-2 and may have a chance to redeem the only 2 losses of the year. They lost once to Conner (Missing 2 starters and 2 non-starters) and once to Camp Ernest (missing 1 starter and 1 non-starter) on a last second bucket to give them the lead at Camp Ernest. ***Not making excuses*** Just want another crack at both teams. :popcorn:

Last regular season game for most middle schools tonight. Who's everyone playing? Any tough matchups out there to end the reg season? HMS is at Twenhofel tonight.

HMS 6th won by 2 HMS 8th won by 20+

DOWN GOES FRAZIER!!! Yes, Woodland beat them. Puts HMS 7th's record at around 54-1 since middle school started. It's always a battle against them. If you want to stay undefeated you can't have off games against really good teams. HMS shot HORRIBLY last night and didn't have their head coach at the game either. No excuses, Woodland absolutely went out and took that game and deserved the win. I still believe HMS will still go on to win the region. They have just too much depth. Congrats to Woodland on the big win.
