Just wondering if SW experience from last year is enough to push them through this year . I know they have skill, but the deeper you get into playoffs. A lot of teams will have skill .

Franklin wins because their defense is not easily fooled. Very disciplined on defense. They don't over pursue plays . They have very good defensive ends. As for their offense. They have good speed to go along with a well balanced passing/running game. Very well coached. Should be a fun game to watch. I do see this being close though

Not sure . If you could've seen it. You would have been like "wow". Not making excuses. Both teams had to play on it

South Warren went there last year and it was extremely bad . They had several drain holes so washed out that they had them covered with tires. Right on the side lines. Very dangerous. And no grass

In reference to Owensboro being good. I know it was one of their first games , but I watched OHS struggle to beat Warren Central. Not sure how anybody could consider OHS a threat. They looked big and slow. I do believe that Pulaski is a very well coached and very disciplined team that will create problems for BG despite their skilled players.

I got to go see SW play this past Friday and the Colton kid did impress me . He looks like he could run the ball if need be . He actually did run one back after a block punt if I remember correctly. He looks like he could play multiple positions on defense if need be . Great looking kid for a 17 year old. Someone said SW plays a pretty big private school this Friday. Should be a good measuring stick for the up coming playoffs

I agree with Tyler10 . I think there is a way of showing production/minutes played . But until then you have got consider the players future . Not just the teams. I wonder how hard SW practices are . Will they be ready for a fourth quarter battle . Because it IS coming !

Sounds like to me PurplePride might be on the campaign trail to try and get your alls coach. Be on the look out!!

I have to agree with doubletake about the scholarship issue. Something tells me that when SW coach played at Boyle . This probably wasn't the case. I would say his dad understood the importance of playing his son as much as he could. Without jeopardizing his health. I'm sure he knew showcasing his sons ability was VERY IMPORTANT to college scouts. I would like to see his minutes as a college atheletes compared. Compared to his players under him . Just sayin

I went to this game just see what all the hype about South was about . First, I was pleased to see such a great crowd for the Spartans. Second, I saw a very well disciplined defense. Not sure how to beat them . Unless you have a offensive line that can pass block VERY WELL! Third, I saw a good mixture of passing and running on offense . Fourth, their special teams played very good.Fifth, I saw a very good wide receiver and a dangerous QB. I was very surprised to see SW coach pull his kids as early as he did . I was hoping to get to take in a little more of what they have to offer . I could see some of our local kids being upset with such little playing time in such an anticipated matchup. I totally get protecting players but wow. All in all . It's gonna take a very good football team. Playing a very good game. To slow down the Spartans. A nice facility as well

Let's not forget that when SW opened . They were being beat down by everybody . Even with the "so called WC kids" . Nobody said a word until SW developed their program and began winning! Is SW suppose to yell " FOUL " when the lines get re-drawn and they lose their kids to WC. You act like SW has committed a violation or something. I promise you they are playing the hand delt to them by KHSAA. Don't hate on good teams. You sound like a parent to a child on a team. That SW has been routing the last couple of years! Just saying

I totally agree . You would have thought South took all of WC athletes . In all reality the football team only has 3-5 kids that would have gone there. I want all of our local programs to succeed . Great leaders draw good atheletes

I know this is for another thread but beings that Central split wth Greenwood years ago. Then split with South a few years ago . With Central being basically a city school . Why don't we hear about splitting BG and Central . I know that answer. Your thoughts

South in a big way. Central has the skilled players but nothing to go with them. I can see Central possibly scoring on South but in the end it could be like 42-7. Central is a program on the brink of total disaster. If re- districting doesn't come through for them. They possibly could not have a football team in the very near future. Sad for BG and for our local high school sports

I just believe it's a necessity. Your asking a lot out of a kid to try and manage a game by watching the scoreboard. Or even looking for help from the sideline.

Just wondering how many high schools don't have play clocks in each end zone. I for one believe it should be a KHSAA rule . Every school should be responsible for providing these . Especially if your team is hosting a playoff game . Your thoughts ?

South by 4 TD only because Smith will rest his starters a lot in the second half.

It's unwritten rule at South Warren that after all games. You allow your coaches and players their space for time to deliberate on things that went well or not so well. Our team has a group meeting . Then they break down into small groups. Such as lineman in one . Linebackers etc..Then when coaches are COMPLETLY done with them. The parents are then able to approach them . This is the way it should be.

Not a chance. BG will more than likely never have the core of players as talented as Tisdale , pillow, Fant, and Hayes. Along with the huge line those kids were following. Just saying
