Campbell is definitely too low. Conner, NCC and Scott too high. Beechwood despite being a small school is good, so they are in a good spot. Dropping Highlands to #4 seems drastic... didn't see the game, but heard it wasn't really a blow out like the score might seem. I would give the Birds another week or so before dropping them too much!

I'm really glad to see Cole Hegyi on this list. I think he's much better than people know. Maybe it is because the 2017 class is so strong around Kentucky? But some college is going to get a serious player when they recruit him. Great demeanor, works really hard. Aggressive on the boards, uses his body great.

I think Plessinger has really come along. East Central is a strong program, bigger size school I believe. And the Camels looked good at times. I'm just not sure they can overcome the confidence Highlands players will have. If the Camels get down they will likely have a hard time believing they can win (cause its Highlands). If the Birds get down they will fight to the bitter end believing they can/should win. For that reason I have to think the Birds have the edge. Although Highlands loss to Cooper has deflated many a players view of the legend that is Highlands - so maybe they come out knowing they can win! Let's hope so!

I'm not sure I understand... If Frakes has 8 players on his prospect list that don't have D1 offers isn't he saying he believes those 8 are the best non-offered players in KY?

I think Highlands wins, but I'm rooting for Cooper! Hopefully the football tide in Campbell County starts moving south soon, Highlands has had a storied run, but I hope it ends with Mueller. Dale was one of kind, the best type of coach there is. One of the best coaches I've ever had the chance to know.

It definitely seems fair to judge a "college prospects list" almost fully based on college offers. Not on they are being "looked at". I generally don't like lists like this because they do seem to leave kids out. But if 42 out of 50 kids HAVE OFFERS then no one should say someone else should make the list unless they ALSO HAVE OFFERS. And to this point no one has mentioned a kid not listed who has an actual offer. It would be foolish to say that us armchair QB's know more than the paid college scouts who's livelihood is based on getting this right. With that said, I think Frakes should have to justify the 8 kids on this list not offered yet and be completely sure they are a step above the rest of the other non-offered kids.

Plessinger has gotten a lot of reps now, the comfort with the offense will be huge difference. They will be tough to beat this year.
