  1. Boyle takes the trip down US 68 to Campbellsville for their first district matchup of the season against a 4A top 10 opponent in Taylor County. Taylor enters the game at 3-1 while Boyle enters at an unblemished 4-0. Taylor County has some talent which is vastly different than the last time the two teams were in the same district but is there enough to slow down the Rebels and keep it close? Do we see a continuation of the history of these 2 teams which resulted in large Boyle victories?

I know Danville is down but Mercer is clearly much improved from last season and might be the biggest surprise to me this season, they could very well win 3A and I'm here for it.

Mercer is improved but not winning 3A. Danville is way down. Talked to some individuals much older than myself and agreed with this may be the worst Danville team they’ve ever seen.

Keep in mind a lot of the games you watch, like the Boyle games are all student ran.  Students there are running the whole show, as commentators, camera, streaming, securing guest, the whole thing.  They might not be the best in the business, but they are high school kids.

I was going to say the same thing. It’s student run and a lot of new kids in new roles. The production should improve throughout the season. They do bring in guest commentators often. Usually a local sports media guy or former athlete.

I agree with the Brown statement, he is the real deal but don't look comfortable playing receiver just yet. Haddix will figure it out without a doubt.

Probably a one year gig at wideout. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him back at RB next year. I’d like to see a package with Bodner at QB Brown at RB and Dawson and Quisenberry at WR. Also would love to see more 2 back sets with Bodner and Brown.

If his family has the wherewithal to move him from Garrard County to Boyle County, they should be able to get him to camps.

Can and does. There are other kids that needed the ride to some camps in the area. Their family (families) paid for the camp just didn’t have a way to get the kid there. The coaches step in and make a field trip out of it and take a few kids to a spotlight camp and get to network with some college coaches and see the facilities as well. Win win for everyone.

Some people have the wrong idea. I ADMIRE the level of play from Hoban, St. Ed's and Massillon.  I'm not looking to discredit Boyle, I just saw us get dismantled firsthand in a Hall of Fame stadium, as well as Center Grove and the other two non-Ohio teams (all four of which were previous state champions either 2022 or 2022) by the NE Ohio teams.

If people feel like Boyle's 2023 offense would score on Hoban, then Oct. 27th is going to be a huge challenge for the Broncos defense. I haven't seen the Rebs since last season's game, and I didn't realize how much the transfer from Danville added to them.

I just thought it was a fair question to ask.

I think Boyle’s offense can score on anyone in High School Football. I’m not saying win (absolutely not saying win) but score once against the starting varsity… yes I have full confidence that Boyle with Quisenberry, Brown and Bodner… one of the 3 would break loose and score at some point in 48 minutes of football.
Brown from Danville is just as much the real deal as Quisenberry is. Just got to figure out how to get him the touches. Haddix has the problem all coaches wish they had. Too many weapons and not enough touches to go around.
