2015/16 NKY Boys BBall 6th, 7th, & 8th
"They won the CCH league regular season with a victory on Sunday." They beat St. Joe (Crescent Springs). BSac defense was outstanding. Final score was something like 46 - 16. OLV schedule is out. BSac plays Friday night @ 8p against Our Lady of Lourdes and Sunday in the CCH end of season tourney at 2p. (not sure of opponent yet since they got a 1st round bye) The teams listed by Clyde are correct. St. Henry used to play in the league but did not field a team this year.

2015/16 NKY Boys BBall 6th, 7th, & 8th
BSac 8th grade team won their pool in the OLV tournament with a victory over St. Antoninus on Saturday. Based on the post by SSSGODWIN, it's a shame they only played 2 other teams in the pool because the team they did not play was St. Susanna! The bracket part of the tournament starts later this week. I'll post their next game when it is known. They won the CCH league regular season with a victory on Sunday.

It would be a shame not to mention the BSac 8th grade team on this thread. While they don't play in the middle school league because (as I understand it) they don't field an 'A' team in the 6th grade and that is a requirement, they have dominated the CCH 8th grade league with very good defense and the offensive talents of Jay Jackson and Grant Disken. They started the season by winning the St. Henry tournament (had to go through Beechwood to win that one). They won the Cardinal Pacelli tournament which ended last weekend and they won their first game in the Our Lady of Victory tournament. They have only lost 1 game all year. Kudos to the Eagles!

The apps used can get pretty fancy. I think a short explanation as to why the particular adjetive was used would be more helpful. Maybe the explanation for 'poor' could have been 'eyes were actually on co-ed walking along fence line instead of on ball'. That could lead to coaching moments.

I was told by a pretty reliable source that the iScore entry stating the quality of the shot by Day was entered by the coach. Subsequent entries were entered by someone else. More than likely the clock adjustments were made to try to reflect stoppage time in the application based on what was happening on the field. (this sounds futile; however, knowing that the only person in the universe allowed to know the actual time left in a soccer match is the referee)

9th Region All-Star Games
Found this in an article at nkytribune.com: Two baseball all-star games will be played on Monday, June 15 at Dixie Heights with the juniors at 5 p.m. and the seniors at 7:30 p.m. Are these the Jr. and Sr. All star games mentioned in a previous post?

Kentucky State Cup
NKSA U13 boys (Strikers) won their matches over the weekend and will be heading to the Regional in St. Louis. They were calling it the President's Cup. Has all the discussion on this thread been about State Cup teams or both?

Ryle 2 Covington Catholic 1
Andrew may have been a victim of numbers this year. He is an outfielder and 2 of the 3 outfield positions were filled by seniors. The remaining outfield position was originally filled by Pitzer (4 hole hitter) and then by McGinness (hit over .400 for most of the year). Other outfielders were most likely faster than Andrew since they were used primarily as pinch runners throughout the year (Caldon and Rose). Andrew is a very talented soccer player. Look for him to make some noise on the pitch this fall.
