  1. My only complaint is that the ball didn't break the goal line on last play. Obvisouly probably wouldn't of mattered because the next play would of just been someone falling into the end zone.
  2. Are they finishing this tommrow or is it called final?
  3. If they would only let us play them. Lol and then I would hope they would since there young and in football shape. But I can tell you they would have to beat them with the pass because they would have no chance at running it.
  4. Yes Grant has played to weak teams but at the same time Grant hasn't exactly been a strong team. They scheduled these teams for a reason, not to dominate them but to give them a chance to have success and hopefully feed off of it. The fact that they beat them by so much just shows that there going in the right direction. In the past they were unable to score even in these so called weak teams. Grant is a much bigger school then the teams they have played so far but it is still a step in the right direction. The schedule will be horrific here in a few weeks. If they can finish this season at 7 and 3, it will be a successful season regardless of the teams they played.
  5. We used it as a fundraiser. Drew a pretty good crowd for not having much success in football as a school. Donated our proceeds back to the high school program. It just depends on how you look at it. Both teams came into knowing what was at risk and knew we had families to support. Of course the risk is there though. We played a team consisting of Bourbon/Harrison/Montgomery County and beat them quite easily. They had class though even being down as much as they were at one time, it didn't get dirty. You do risk some bad seeds but in our case the positives outweighed the negatives.
  6. We played one through Gridiron Alumni back in April and have another one scheduled for October 3rd but will most likely be moved to the spring due to having a hard time finding a field. It was worth the risk and it's not like everyone thinks. Yeah a few big hits here and there but everyone knows everyone has to work. Did it for the love of the game, not trying to relive old glory days like some people say.
  7. How did Grant County look? They played some stiff competition it seems like.
  8. They seem to be working hard in the off season. Will be tough for them in the district but they've been in it before so it's nothing new. As far as the feeder system, not so sure if it's a good one. Numbers are low in it and kids are choosing to go elsewhere.
  9. Game took place at the Boone County Pee wee field. Grant County Alumni won 30 to 14 against a team that consisted of Harrison/Bourbon/Montgomery County alumni. It was a very good time and for the most part injury free. Also was a decent turn out on a wet colder day.
