The same exact date or the same theoretical date. May 1st is at the beginning of baseball season. May 1st is midway through AAU season. May 1st would be an improvement. But still old 13 year olds could be playing against young 15's I'm 14U.

My boys race bicycles also and that is how that sport works. The reason it works is because it is an individual sport so you can move up as your age increases. However, in a team sport it is hard to find a new team as a parent and as a coach you'd have to back fill spots in the middle of the season. That is why I think the data should be at the start of the season.

But that alone would be significant. It would probably level out the playing field because teams couldn't stack as many players.

Can you imagine the shock waves if she wins?

KBA will be posting the D2 State schedule ASAP. 13U has 4 teams. 14U has 9 teams.

Another reason why fees need to be paid in full. I'm not looking forward to the time we start giving players free rides to be on our team. It sucks to have to go back and find replacements for those kids that left.

The biggest part is moving the 2 year hold backs out. We've played in two tournaments in Ohio this spring and the competition level has been very close. One event had two pools of 3 teams and every team was 1-1 in pool play.

But the problem is kids with July and August birthdays never play a game their age group. I have two 13 year olds that don't turn 14 until August and will not play a single game at 14 but are required to play against 14 year olds. If the date were to be moved to March 31 the problem would be resolved.

Typically KBA has the schedule up by Wednesday. But, it doesnt look like numbers are very good. There is not a tournament listed in either ago group. I heard that they had just 3 13U teams. They do have 7 8th grade teams playing in the 2015 KBA Classic. But nothing listed as a 14U or 13U event.

In the middle of a game? Wow! I'm shocked at that. As a coach I could never do that. I coach a 7th grade team and honestly I don't feel comfortable recruiting any of the players that are in my area and already on another AAU team. Now if they come to me first. That's a different ball game. I always try to look else where first. But, I also do my recruiting at the middle school level and always start with the middle school coach. I'm sure this will change as we get older. But for now. That's how I do it.

It's pretty disappointing that only 2 teams from KY are in the boys 7th grade 29 team field. Does anyone know where Kentucky Elite is from?

Shining Star Sports are having several teams. 7th grade boys for sure and several others.

Most have changed also. Just not as drastic as AAU. I haven't seen an event advertised where a player can be two years older and still play. The simple fix is adjust the date to the start of the AAU season.

I confirmed with a parent that has a player on the 6th grade GHITP team. That 6th grade team was the team that was listed as GHITP. I also saw the picture of The Ville 2020. I have no idea who any of them were. However, the team picture are posted on the GHITP_Legacy instagram account.

We played a 7th grade GHITP team a couple weeks ago at KBA. So I'm wondering if The "GHITP" team is the 6th grade team and The Ville 2020 is the 7th grade team.

Crazy ending to the event. The team that beat the Thundermakers won the next game then got disqualified from the event. They had a kid that was too old to play. The Cincy Lakers protested and won and got beat by us in the finals.

The two teams you guys have in pool play look like a couple of average middle school teams. At best.

They are pretty good school thing that's for sure. However I think they must've backed out because they're not on the schedule.

Believe it or not I actually figured that was you guys. We play at the same time same location.

I didn't see you guys are the schedule. Could you be under another name?
