Final from Vanceburg.

^ I'd put Lewis, Ashland, and Greenup ahead of East but other than that that looks about like where I'd rank them.
-
A program the caliber of Bell County does NOT need the drama of the Fairview scandal or the other goings on that comes with Nathan McPeek. All I will say on the subject.
-
Yes it is. Morgan, East, West Carter and Elliott are all in the same district.
East has really fallen off with the loss of Sparks. But any of those other three could win it all.
-
GREAT win for my Lions. This team can compete with any team in the region and this win more than proves that! It's gonna be one crazy March in the 16th Region!
-
After that, no 16th region team is undefeated against region competition now.

Or Chris Harrison from the old Tollesboro High School in the early 90s. Averaged nearly 50 ppg and played at UK for four years.
-
I would do it on Lofton's high school career and how he didn't get the chance to play for UK so he torched the Cats for the next 4 years at UT

Final from yesterday at the Greenup County Stultz Pharmacy Holiday Classic.

Lions outscored the Panthers 41-14 after trailing 40-26 at halftime. These two schools do not like each other, no surprise there was a lot of jawing going on. Compliments to the officials for keeping it as clean as possible.

Just goes to show, when you pick up scrap paper left by an announcer, it might be worth what you paid for it. Nothing!
Kidwell is not known for his accuracy while reporting.

I think it's either Daniel, Baker, or Hall. But did Kinslow really have 27 sacks???
-
Good win for Ashland on the road. Not easy to go on the road out of region and come away with a win.
-
I think a lot of people on here are underestimating Lewis County. There have been some growing pains so far but I think we will be a top 5 team in the region and a threat to win it come March. Not surprised at all how close the game was.
-
This was a great game. Thought Lewis had control of it through 3 quarters but Gage Hughes and the Musketeers took over in the 4th quarter.

The stipend for head coaches is $8,000. The stipend for AD's is $16,000. So if you have a guy who is head football coach and athletic director, he's most likely making a cool $24,000 extra on top of his teacher salary or administration position salary.

My prediction was close. I said running clock would start at 48-12 and was right about that but was a little off on final score. Congrats the Belfry and congrats to Lawrence on a good season. It looks like the Kiser and the Dalton brothers sure can make some plays.
-
Belfry will roll in this one. They won't lose 7 fumbles this time for Lawrence to keep it close.
Belfry 55
Lawrence 20
Running clock at 48-12.

Glad to see both of these programs back on top. Just a few years ago they were both struggling to win even a few games.

I will address for you. There is no such thing as running into the punter versus roughing the punter. Contact is contact at the high school level. Not sure on the receiver movement.
Sideline penalty was obviously questionable, but not being there the entire game I cannot comment.
The pass interference call that you want was not pass interference. Would have been a very weak call if made.
Care to address the two clipping penalties against Highlands that were not clips? One resulted in a pick 6 being called back. Or the hold penalty on Mitchell Cain where he pancaked a defensive back.
Officiating was suspect at best I would agree, but it certainly was not favored in any teams direction.
I've been to a game this year where running into the punter was called rather than roughing. They merely moved the ball up five yards and had the punting team punt again. So either you're wrong or that officiating crew was wrong and either way I'm not surprised.

JC and I do not think it will be all that close. Great season Scott, but it ends next Friday.

Lions are red hot. Winners of 6 straight and 8 out of their last 10.
