Honestly expected this one to be a little closer judging by the way the two teams have played common opponents but that's why you play the games. Mason/Fleming next week for the 2 and 3 seeds and Lewis/West playing for the final playoff spot in the district.

Russell came out and asserted their dominance early. It became apparent really early that Lewis was not going to move the ball in the power-I. Davis is still learning the P's and Q's of playing QB after playing it for the first time since grade school, he didn't complete a lot of passes but I liked his willingness to tuck it and go and he made some plays and moved the chains quite a few times. I don't know what it is but something tells me if the injury bug doesn't bit Lewis so much this season that this is our first loss. Good game Russell. Always a pleasure to watch a game in your stadium. It was a little odd though because the last time I was there it was as a player and that Horn and Devil on the scoreboard only went off once. Coming back and hearing that so many times was mind-numbing. Good luck on the rest of the season Red Devils and Coach Maynard.
