Robertson Co has the worst team they've ever had in the past 20 years, Fleming is 13th in the 16th region (arguably the worst region in the state) AND winless, and who in the world is Pineville?
.
Mason County must've thought the Pineville game meant something because Buddy Biggs was there scouting :lol2:

To be honest you can rank the top 10-12 teams anyway you want and justify it somehow right now. The sample size is still too small.
If I was to rank teams right now my top 10 would be
1. Paris
2. MoCo
3. Campbell
4. Scott
5. GRC
6. Brossart
7. Mason
8. Augusta
9. Bracken
10. Harrison
11. Pendleton
12. Bourbon
13. St Pat
14. Calvary
15. Nicholas
16. Robertson
17. Silver Grove
Now I'm sure someone would say I have this one too high or this one too low and that's fine. Sample size needs to be more.
I'd be more than happy to explain why I have a certain team in a certain spot but don't want this post to be excessively long so feel free to ask.
Beating a team head to head doesn't always mean you should be ranked. Look at the CBB rankings. Duke is 2 and UK is 4, and didn't Duke beat UK?
-
The coaches agreed. Scott won two tough road games (PC, Clark) and only lost by 6 @ the Fieldhouse in a foul fest. I think what kept Mason below Scott was their performances against SK, Bourbon, and Woodford County. So basically you're saying its a fluke that Mason beat Scott? Give credit where credit is due. Sheesh. :idunno: -
Not surprised at the fact coaches put Scott above Mason, that game (free throw shooting contest) was a joke.Great job. -
1. Paris

8. Bishop Brossart
9. Pendleton County
10. Bracken County
11. Harrison County
12. Bourbon County
13. Saint Patrick
14. Nicholas County

:idunno:They have the better coach, and win the game if Mason Co plays very poorly. The Royals have the most talent and athleticism. However we all know the most talented team doesn't always win. -
Gotta think Mason Co has the advantage when you look at the benches.
The Bench is very important now with all the fouls being called. Bracken's bench is looking about 8 deep right now. From what you've said Mason beats Bracken in every category, what does Bracken do better at and how do you think they win this game?
-
Bracken County shooting 67% as team. Jacob Hamilton (second leading scorer) shooting an outstanding 92% from the foul lineThe way the officials call this one will have alot to do with it's outcome. Hoping it's not a FT shooting contest. I'm hoping to get out on top of the hill to see this one and visit with my good friend Brian Miller. -
If you make it there you can buy car raffle tickets for $10 :lol2:Anybody passing through Mayslick on their way? Would love to be there but in a one car family. -
What time does it start? I am making the drive.

It's interesting how some Bracken county fans think coach Hinson in 4 to 5 games can have these boys ready to play with mason county. These kids have never played mason close and it won't happen Tuesday night, but by the end of the year things could be looking up for Bracken give the coach time.
They played with Montgomery County the whole game, and that was the first game of the season in Mount Sterling!
-
No question Bracken is still learning their way. On paper at this point Mason, perhaps is the favorite.
Thing is the huge intangible is Coach Hinson. On paper he was beat by Mason in both district titles in which Augusta won.
Don't forget Class 'A'
-
Exactly, Mason Co wins every match up with the rest of the Bracken Co team.
How many times have you watched Bracken play this year? Hamilton, Jones, Engnes have found their roles. Bracken County can be a well oiled machine and Hinson knows how to do it.
-
Bracken will need to play near perfect and catch Campbell on a bad night if they want to win. Also need to continue to find other scoring options or they'll have a repeat of Tuesday.
-
I think Bracken County has found their second (Hamilton 21) and third (Jones 12) scoring options tonight. Crawford and Jones had a double-double. They really moved the ball around, but with 22 turnovers. If the Polar Bears play defense and take care of the ball like they did @ MoCo they will win by 10.
Bracken is coming off a good win from an average defense and good shooting team. I agree with Royal Wildcat, it all depends on which team shows up to play.
I'll take Bracken (of course) by 4 in this one. I've always felt that Mason County has a tough time on Bracken's floor.
-
Well, Mount Sterling is in Montgomery County. Woodford County is Versailles.
You need to get out more, my friend to the west.:thumb:
I'll stick to the 10th
-
Don't even know where that is
-
How many games have you watched outside of Mason County? Let alone the region and state. There are a lot of players who don't get The recognition they deserve. The best defender in the 10th and quite possibly the state, clutch, leader, and passionate. Tonight's game was just the definition of how he plays ball, everything on the floor every single night. Easily one of the most underrated players in the state. -
Crawford/Pig matchup Tuesday. Thoughts?
-
All the starters are all from Bracken County.
-
Had this been any other school, the players would have been dismissed.
Especially with what they did, it puts a bad image on the kids, the school, and the community.
-
Wouldn't that damage the track for the track team?
The track is just black top, so no.
-
....and most of the 10th Region drive BIG TRUCKS or mini-vans. Either is not going to be a good option on a wet football field. How in the world will Bracken have their spring football workouts ?
The practice field behind the football field.
