I hope you are going to be just as critical of the St. X staff; they threw the ball in the 3rd quarter, more than once, with their starters on the way to a 56-0 victory. I didn't have a problem with it, but if you are going to criticize the CCH staff for it, why not X? Funny how no one from CCH was complaining about it.... Only the CCH "fans" complain about the CCH staff??????

Here are the facts: Erpenbeck and Young have been sharing snaps in practice since Isler was injured. Erpenbeck played JV QB as a sophomore. Erpenbeck this season had been focusing on LB and was behind in the learning of the offense. Both QBs were told at the beginning of the week that either might start; the whole team knew that. Both took snaps in pregame with the first team. Erpenbeck did as well as could be expected with Tigers all over him. If Young didnt get in the fourth quarter, ALL THE CRITICS would be complaining about that. As Rockpride stated, the coaches start the players they feel will give them the best chance to win whether it is senior day or not. Unless you witnessed practice all week, you cannot speak as to who should start or not les you speak out of ignorance.

Juvenile antics of the coach????? Can we be specific or are we breaking a rule on BGP? Many parents and players????? Most of the parents and players I have talked to totally support Coach Brossart, so again factually incorret!!! Players in the all-star game?????? From what I have read, most of them missed several practices along the way, so what do they have to complain about?????? Where is that from a player on BGP???? Again factually incorrect!! I totally agree with your last statement, but those sabotaging are preventing that from happening!!!

Lets remember that only one of the adults is a current parent with a son on the team-the others have no business even being involved-let a current parent do those jobs and enjoy the experience with their son even more-IT IS TIME TO LET GO AND MOVE ON TO THE NEXT STAGE IN LIFE. I went through it- it is hard when your son graduates from high school but I followed him into college and his interests there.

Highlands is a well-oiled machine that has been winning since the beginning of time that is in the middle of a run of great athletes. CCH is in a transition from a very talented offensive mind that had great, great talent but didn't work that hard to a new coach who really knows the game as well but is working with a group that is learning how to work hard and stand firm to tough times. I really don't understand all the things I hear about those around the program and all the things they are saying....what do they expect to happen to the program with the way they are acting-it just tells me they REALLY don't care about the program-they are just out to get Brossart no matter what the cost. It is going to take a concerted effort by EVERYONE to return to the level of Highlands- some of these nincompoops think a few changes to Xs and Os and they will beat Highlands-it takes talent which CCH will always have(albeit at different levels), hard work, unity, and loyalty by all involved to get Highlands. Im just tired of Coach Brossart not getting a fair shake.

Last years group had to replace 19 starters, and they did step up even turning around a lopsided loss to Dixie; Highlands was a better team last season that CCH could not handle in the playoffs especially without their heart and soul on defense- Joe Bruggeman. This year's group sits around and waits for a spark- vs. NCC they were struggling and Van Sant made a play- the whole team got inspired and they made a great come back. In their other losses they have waited and no one has stepped up. Those of you who want to blame it on the coaches really and I mean really don't have a clue; there are no Sam Flynns, Joe Castenadas, Brandon Brown, Pete Suttons (Van Sant could be), Josh Blesers, or Nate Kaders on this years or last years team- needless to say no Mike Woolfs, Timmy Woolfs, Jeremy Maddens, Paul Hladons, etc, etc, etc. You sound like disgruntled players who didnt get their playing time or parents who think their son is the greatest... I have seen 3 coaches at CCH in my years and Brossart's system is as sound as Coach Ray's, is it as flashy as Rodenberg's- no because he doesn't have the aforementioned talent-do they have some talent-yes but they need to get tougher!!!!!!

CCHs backup QB had hardly completed a pass and was possibly needed for the next week to beat an unknown St. Charles team; he needed to have some success! Holmes had just gone for it on 4th down, so they had not conceded victory by punting or putting in their backups!!! 24-0- running up the score???????????????? Some need to watch a little more football; I have never heard anything more ridiculous in my life!

You are dead wrong; the staff has tried every combination possible at numerous positions trying to get more production; the team wilts when it gets hit in the mouth; the seniors need to step up!!
