  1. IMO Boyle will be better at the running back position this year than they were the last two years.
  2. I think it has to do with employment opportunities with in the county, IMO the loss of several factories over the past years is finally catching up with the enrollment.
  3. Don't get me wrong Larry French was a great coach, but after watching his tenure compared to Chuck Smiths I'm sure we will see a different brand of football now that Chuck is back at Boyle no disrespect to French, but I think Boyle will show better fundamentals better conditioning and more effort from everyone involved. Chuck always seemed to get a bunch of average players to overachieve and play better team football. I expect Boyle to be in the running for another state title this year, and I feel that if a Chuck Smith coached takes a loss it's because they've got beat by a better team not better coaching.
  4. I agree on Masons play calling IMO its not good and if you were to poll the fans on any given Friday night the majority of the fans in the stands would agree that its not good. a friend of mine from Mercer told me that coach Pardue said he knew every play Mason was calling because they were the same signals he used when he was the OC at Boyle, and I wondered why Mercer seem to be ready for every play Boyle ran during their playoff game.
  5. This is pretty much what I was told and posted a few posts ago I agree I think Larry would have helped Chuck in anyway possible.
  6. No I don't see this ever happening Danville is an independent , and there is to much old money in their system for them to have to consolidate with a county school plus there's more resentment between the older part of these two schools supporters than most people know.
  7. I was told during this past season that Larry had told Chuck that if he wanted the job back at Boyle he would retire at seasons end so Chuck could come back this came from one of Larry's fishing buddies so I find this hard to believe about Larry French.
  8. Me to, but if it fell thru I didn't want to look like an idiot.
  9. This is what I was told early this morning, and I knew he had already interviewed early this week. best news I've heard in a long time.
  10. Well I'm not to going believe it until an announcement is made, but I have no reason to doubt my source I was told it was being kept quite until all the details were worked out at both schools I am pretty sure that this coach interviewed for the job Tuesday night.
  11. Not getting my hopes up, but I'm was told the same thing this morning.
  12. I think you maybe right from what I was told yesterday it could be over quick and the new coach will be a big surprise to a lot of people.
  13. So are you projecting Boyle to drop to 3A with the new realignment?
  14. Good question I work for the Boyle county school system, and I'm not positive but I believe it does have to be posted for x number of days.
  15. I don't think Brandon has enough experience either, but if I were going to take a chance on a coach that young it would be Brandon simply because he is Chuck Smiths son, and I would think Chuck has taught him well and we all know that Chuck knows football.
  16. Not enough experience in my opinion. for Travis or Bobby.
  17. I was told last week that Mason wouldn't be back regardless of what Larry done, I would think it all depends on who the new coach is as to where there is fall out or not. if its Hodge then I see the staff staying where they are, as for Chuck Smith I was told by a person who knows Chuck about a month ago that Chuck was interested in coming back if French left, but I don't see it happening now that he has accepted the MC job.
  18. His son Stephen was a Special Ed teacher at Junction City until about three years ago and he lost his job because of cuts with in the system, and if I'm not mistaken the same thing happened to Larry's wife last year she also taught for Boyle.
